Team PokerStars Pro Negreanu Eliminated

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Daniel_Negreanu
Daniel_Negreanu

Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu was all in with his tournament life on the line against Kunal Manohar Punjwani when we got to the table, but the Canadian was ahead preflop.

Negreanu held {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} on the button, and Punjwani had called with {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} from the big blind.

The {3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop kept Negreanu in the lead but also gave Punjwani the flush draw. The turn was a very good {a-Diamonds} card for Negreanu as it reduced Punjwani's outs, but the {2-Clubs} on the river gave the latter a flush and Negreanu was eliminated early on in Day 2.

Platinum Pass Winner Lenoir Doubles Through Pollak

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Eric Lenoir opened and was three-bet by Benjamin Pollak. Lenoir then four-bet all in for 36,800 and Pollak called.

Benjamin Pollak: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Eric Lenoir: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Pollak was already over 300,000 from the start of the day, and may have been vying for the tournament chip lead at this stage.

The flop {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} gave Pollak a set. The turn {8-Clubs} and river {j-Spades} however gave Lenoir a runner-runner straight and he doubled up.

"Remember," he said to the table, "I won Platinum Pass!"

Nice Pot for Baumann

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The board read {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} on a three-way pot and contained already around 30,000. The three players checked and the dealer revealed a {2-Spades} on the river.

Gaelle Baumann, situated in the big blind, decided to announce all in for a stack worth 37,000. One of her opponents quickly folded and the cutoff player went deep into the tank. He eventually mucked his hand after the clock has been called and Baumann took down the pot.
