Teisseire Finds a Double Up

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The action folded to Florian Bethouart in the small blind who made a bet and Antonin Teisseire called for his remaining stack of 13,000.

Teisseire had the best hand to double up, holding {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} against {8-Spades}{10-Hearts} for his opponent, which he did after the dealer brought the {5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs} run-out.

"I'm going to win the EPT!" the enthusiastic Frenchman said after taking down the pot.

Diaz Bubbles EPT Barcelona Main Event; 296 in the Money

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Guillaume Diaz was all in from the big blind with only 4,000 left in his stack. Adrian State in the hijack and Niall Farrell on the button went heads-up to a {9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop. State bet and Farrell revealed pocket sevens before folding.

This meant that Diaz was up against State for the side pot with his tournament life on the line. The tournament director asked Diaz to reveal his hand first, and flipped over {4-Clubs}{q-Spades}. State then revealed {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for top pair.

Diaz was drawing very thin and needed help from the turn. The {10-Spades} hit and gave Diaz hope as he now needed to hit a jack to survive. But it wasn't to be as the river was revealed to be the {8-Clubs}.

Diaz's departure meant that the remaining 296 players were all in the money and guaranteed minimum prize of €8,150.

Zorlucan Er
Zorlucan Er

Zorlucan Er open-shoved from the middle position for a stack worth 104,000 and Ming Xi situated in the small blind made the call.

Holding {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, Er was in bad shape for a double up before the bubble burst, facing {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} for Xi.

The board {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} brought him no help and the Turkish player got eliminated at the 298th place.

Three All-Ins and All Survive

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ilya Etko, Volodymyr Drokin, and David Domjan all just had their tournament lives on the line during hand-for-hand but all three players managed to survive.

Etko won with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} against two opponents on a {3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} board when neither of his opponents revealed a diamond in their hand for a flush.

In the second all-in situation, Volodymyr Drokin took the pot with a set of tens on the {10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board against Adrian Constantin.

And in the final hand, David Domjan was all in for just 5,000 from the small blind and managed to triple up against two opponents when his {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades} hand won on the {a-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board with just a pair of sixes.
