Michalak Sends Schwartz to the Rail

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Jakub Michalak
Jakub Michalak

The action folded to Jake Schwartz in the cutoff who moved all in for around his last 65,000 chips. Jakub Michalak flicked in a call on the button and the blinds both folded.

Jakub Michalak: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Jake Schwartz: {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Schwartz was in need of some help in order to stay alive and the flop of {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} gave him a couple of extra outs. However, the {8-Clubs} on the turn gave Michalak a set of eights and Schwartz stood up from his seat before the {10-Hearts} hit the felt on the river.

More Chips for Reichenstein

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Andrey Pateychuk made it 8,000 to go in the cutoff and Uri Reichenstein called from the big blind. The flop came {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Reichenstein checked to Pateychuk who bet 10,000. Reichenstein check-raised to 27,000 and Pateychuk called.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and Reichenstein checked again. Pateychuk went even smaller with a bet of 8,000 and Reichenstein check-raised once more to 65,000. That was enough to cover Pateychuk's stack of 60,000 and the Russian was forced to use his last two time banks before eventually giving up his hand.

Miles Doubles Through Taheri

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Afshin Taheri raised to 9,000 in early position and Tony Miles shipped all in for 55,000 a couple of seats over. The action folded back to Taheri who gave it some thought before making the call.

Tony Miles: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Afshin Taheri: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Miles was in a great spot to double up and the flop of {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} kept things that way. The {5-Hearts} on the turn left Taheri drawing dead and Miles scored a double up.

Wu Doubles Through Stokkan

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Yake Wu was all in for around 65,000 with {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} against Preben Stokkan holding {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The flop {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades} didn't help Wu.

"You could chop?" said tablemate Michael Soyza as the {6-Diamonds} paired the board.

"Or you could win!" continued Soyza as the {j-Hearts} came on the river to hand him a double up.

Satubayev Makes the Nuts

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A completed board of {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} was spread across the felt with Quan Zhou and Shyngis Satubayev heads-up in a pot. Zhou tossed in a bet of 25,000 from the small blind into a pot of around 75,000 and Satubayev raised to 70,000.

The action was back on Zhou who dipped into the tank, using one of his time banks before making the call. Satubayev turned over {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for the nut flush and there was no pump-fake from Zhou this time.
