Shannon Shorr raised to 250,000 from the early position and action folded to Simon Brandstrom in the small blind who shoved for 945,000. Rui Sousa folded his big blind and Shorr made the call.

Simon Brandstrom: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Shannon Shorr: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

"One more shot," Shorr commented.

"You gonna buy my equity?" Brandstrom added and Shorr laughed.

The board ran out {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for Brandstrom to hold with the aces to double up.

"I'm such a nit," Brandstrom pointed out after raking the pot in.

Shorr opened to 245,000 in the cutoff and won the blinds and big blind ante.

Shorr then raised to 250,000 in the cutoff and Balakrishna Patur called in the big blind. On a {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, Patur check-called a bet worth 190,000 and they checked the {7-Clubs} on the turn. Alexander Ivarsson Goes for Second Title of EPT Barcelona Stop in Main Event

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Alexander Ivarsson
Alexander Ivarsson

Alexander Ivarsson didn’t have a six-figure live cash to his name before he won the €2,200 EPT National High Roller at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona stop last week for €498,520 ($612,854). But don't be fooled — the Swedish poker pro has had plenty of poker success, both live and online over the past decade.

Ivarsson has been carrying the momentum from his largest career win as he goes deep in the €5,300 Main Event, where he bagged a respectable stack after Day 4 with just 16 players left.

“Yeah, obviously coming from a win then straight into the Main Event, and everything went smooth from the beginning, so I’m playing very confident and I believe in myself.”

Felipe Salgado

Seated in early position and facing the big blind and big blind ante in two hands, Felipe Salgado burned through six time bank extensions while checking the feature table action and ultimately moved all in for 125,000. Giovani Torre from one seat over reraised to 430,000 and all opponents folded.

Felipe Salgado: {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Giovani Torre: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Spades} fop gave Torre a full house and Salgado was drawing dead on the {6-Clubs} turn, the {2-Clubs} on the river was a formality. Salgado became the first casualty on Day 5 and takes home €71,400 for his 16th place finish.
