Sergeev Eliminates Mariani

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The board read {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Julien Mariani was all in and at risk of elimination with two other players in the pot. Sergey Sergeev checked from the small blind to Ludovic Geilich in the big blind and he bet 18,500. The bet was called by Sergeev and the {j-Diamonds} river card completed the board.

Both players checked and all the cards were turned over. Mariani showed {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} and had missed the board and he was eliminated by Mariani with {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Geilich quickly mucked his hand after he flashed his cards.

Baumann Survives With Runner-Runner

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Just before the dinner break, Gaelle Baumann was all in and at risk for her tournament life. It was Anton Yakuba who opened the action with a raise to 4,200 in early position. Baumann three-bet shoved for 35,900 one seat over, which got cold-called by Artur Martirosian in the small blind.

Yakuba called as well to see a {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop fall. Martirosian bet 25,000 and Yakuba called, before the {9-Diamonds} turn and {j-Diamonds} river got checked down.

Martirosian showed {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and won the side pot against Yakuba's {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, but Baumann had made a runner-runner nut flush with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} to survive and triple up.
