Moss Shuts Down

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Matthew Moss
Matthew Moss

In what was presumably a three-bet pot, the flop came down {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Rodney Lawrence checked to Matthew Moss on the button. Moss bet 20,000 and Lawrence called.

On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Lawrence check-called 47,000 from Moss before both players quickly checked the {5-Hearts} on the river.

Lawrence tabled {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a missed nut-flush draw, but the ace-ten proved strong enough on its own as Moss mucked his hand.

Kudzmanas Takes From Kuhlman

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Marius Kudzmanas raised from under the gun to 9,000 and he was called by big blind Rene Kuhlman. The flop was dealt {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Kuhlman checked. Kudzmanas continued with a bet of 8,000 and Kuhlman folded.

Kuhlman said earlier in the tournament when he was seated with friend Joris Ruijs that was going to take all of the latter his chips. He said he accomplished that as Ruijs was eliminated a little bit earlier in the tournament. ''But I also gave the chips away again''.

Sey Eliminates Another Player

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Hassan Sey had a very good day already and he just made it even better for himself by eliminating another player. He put the player at risk with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} against {a-Spades}{4-Spades} and he held on after the board ran out {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

Sey is now up to almost 14 times the starting stack while his opponent was eliminated from the tourament.

Shornikau Doubles; Banicevic Falls

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After a raise from Renato Ribeiro, Maksim Shornikau moved all in for 43,500 and Ribeiro called once back on him.

Maksim Shornikau: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Renato Ribeiro: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The better hand held up while the dealer fanned out {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} to hand Shornikau a double.

Meanwhile, at an adjacent table, Vlado Banicevic got it in with ace-king against the pocket nines of Norbert Szecsi but didn't find any help on the board to end his bid in the EPT National High Roller.
