Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

The board read {3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} with 37,000 in the middle already.

Charlie Carrel had bet 22,000 from mid-position which had made Sam Greenwood consider his options for a while. After using a time bank card, Greenwood raised to 91,500 which sent Carrel into the tank.

Carrel kept staring at Greenwood but not getting a response. Carrel asked the dealer how much the raise was for and the dealer confirmed the amount. Carrel kept on tanking: "I think I have it...". Three time bank cards later, Carrel opted to fold.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Foxen checked and Soyza continued for 30,000. Foxen check-raised to 82,000 and Soyza used a time extension before calling.

The turn was the {k-Clubs} and this time it was Foxen using a time extension before moving all in. Soyza snap-called.

Alex Foxen: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Michael Soyza: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Soyza had turned top pair against the pocket queens of Foxen, but the American could still hit a queen or a jack for a straight. The river was the {6-Diamonds} and Soyza doubled his 135,500 in chips to leave Foxen short.
