Jack Salter
Jack Salter

Jack Salter raised to 69,000 in middle position, leaving himself with just 7,000 behind. The action folded to Shyngis Satubayev in the big blind who pushed forward a raise. Salter called off his last few chips and the cards were tabled.

Shyngis Satubayev: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Jack Salter: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

Satubayev had Salter in a rough spot and the board ran out {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} to eliminate Salter from the tournament. The remaining 24 players will now redraw for the final three tables.

Head-Scratcher from Groyachev

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Four players saw a flop of {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} for 12,000 apiece. The action checked to Hideki Izutsu on the button who bet 30,000. Daniel Dvoress called from the small blind and Viacheslav Goryachev check-raised to 67,000 from the big blind. Ivo Bartoletti, the preflop raiser, thought for a bit but decided to muck his cards.

Izutsu instantly pushed all in for 144,000 and Dvoress pondered for a moment before making a tough laydown. Goryachev had just 68,000 chips behind and everyone was expecting a snap-call. However, that was not the case as he used up three of his time banks. Goryachev eventually folded and the table was left making odd faces and scratching their heads.
