Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Thiago Signorelli Viana
Thiago Signorelli Viana

Thiago Signorelli Viana has knocked out the second player on Day 1a and level three is barely finished. His latest victim was Marcuss Liow, who ended up all in for just 8,000 on the {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop.

Marcuss Liow: {k-Spades}{8-Spades}
Thiago Signorelli Viana: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

The {10-Hearts} turn and {a-Hearts} river were both blanks and Liow headed back to the cash game tables, he will return for Day 1b the next day in order to take another shot.

Houri Out in Three-Way Pot with Colillas and Merfeldas

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Yehoram Houri
Yehoram Houri

Ramon Colillas opened the action to 500 and got two calls before Arvydas Merfeldas three-bet to 3,500 in the blinds. Colillas and Houri were the only callers and they went three-handed to the flop.

It came {3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{k-Spades} and Merfeldas continued for 3,300. Colillas called and Houri moved all in for 5,200 total. Both players called and the dealer put a {6-Hearts} on the turn. Merfeldas moved all in for 9,900 and Colillas got out of the way.

Arvydas Merfeldas: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Yehoram Houri: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Houri was looking for a nine only but the {8-Clubs} on the river was a brick and he will have to re-enter to stay in the game.

Bignon Doubles Flush Over Flush

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

It remains unclear when the chips went in in a battle of the PokerStars qualifiers, but Danilo Velasevic saw his excellent start into Day 1a cut down as Eric Bignon had flopped the superior flush.

Bignon held {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Velasevic the {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} on a board of {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}, the former now holds a double stack.

Derwiche involved in the Action

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Imad Derwiche opened and found some resistance, as Bas de Laat in the cutoff three-bet to 1,800. Ekrem Sanioglu in the small blind called and Derwiche then four-bet to 4,500. De Laat reluctantly folded and Sanioglu did so after some table banter in French.

Ramon Miquel Munoz can also be found on the same table and the Spaniard has already doubled his stack.

Margolin Calls Nemanja's Bluff

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Timur Margolin and Nemanja Deronjic were facing a {4-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop. Margolin bet 1,000 and Nemanja min-raised to 2,000, which Margolin called. The turn was the {a-Hearts} and Nemanja barreled 3,000. Margolin called once more, taking them to the final street. It was the {3-Diamonds} and Margolin called Nemanja's 5,000 river bet.

Timur Margolin: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Nemanja Deronjic: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

With over cards down, Margolin's small pair was good enough and he scooped the chips.

Trips for Soria

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Cedric Demore has enjoyed an excellent start into Day 1a and just lost some change, while Rolando Soria claimed a nice pot.

Joining the action on the {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds} turn, Demore in the big blind checked and called a bet of 2,000 by Soria before checking again the {q-Clubs} river. Soria now bet 5,000 and the reluctant call followed, which saw Soria roll over {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} as the winning hand.

Sow Off to a Great Start

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Kalidou Sow
Kalidou Sow

Kalidou Sow just scooped a nice pot to boost his stack on a table that hosts several well-known players on the international poker circuit such as PSPC champion Ramon Colillas and Sam Grafton.

With 2,100 in the middle and the flop showing {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Mikhail Soltanov in the big blind check-raised from 900 to 2,300 and Sow called. The {7-Spades} on the turn brought a bet of 4,300 by Soltanov and a call by Sow. Soltanov slowed down on the {q-Hearts} river and Sow made it 9,500 to go, which was quickly called.

Sow rolled over the {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for two pair and that won the pot.
