Sow Out in Three-Way All In

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Kalidou Sow
Kalidou Sow

The first PokerStars Ambassador to hit the rail today was Kalidou Sow. On the feature table, before the break, he found himself in a three-way all in.

It began with a 30,800 all in from Stefan Heizmann on the hijack and Sow called 20,000 all in on the cutoff. Michael Wang was on the button and went over the top for a total of 79,300, which prompted folds from the blinds.

Stefan Heizmann: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Michael Wang: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Kalidou Sow: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Heizmann was at risk to Wang and Sow was at risk to both his opponents, though he was the slight favorite at this point. The {6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop changed everything with Heizmann soaring into the lead with a set. The {9-Diamonds} turn meant that Heizmann had locked up the side pot, with Wang drawing dead but Sow still had two queens to hit for a triple up. The river eluded him though, bringing a {k-Hearts} and the Frenchman took the elimination in his stride, smiling as he left the feature table.

Guilbert and Chen Gone

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Theodore McQuilkin
Theodore McQuilkin

The seat of Johan Guilbert was filled with Maxi Lehmanski and Boris Kolev confirmed he had busted the Frenchman for 16 big blinds. "Ace ten versus ace queen, standard," Kolev grinned.

One table over, Zhong Chen got his last 13,500 in from the cutoff and Theodore McQuilkin called out of the small blind.

Zhong Chen: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Theodore McQuilkin: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

The board came {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Chen was drawing dead on the turn.

The 288 remaining players are on their first 20-minute break of the day. After the break, the total prize pool and payouts will be announced.

Haxton Holding On

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

As mentioned just a few posts below, Isaac Haxton was down to fumes but he has managed to improve since then, tripling his stack to 15 big blinds. Just now he moved all in preflop and though Maria Konnikova thought about calling from the big blind, she opted to fold in the end and he scooped the blinds and ante. Though still near the bottom of the counts - could this be the start of a comeback for Haxton? Watch this space.
