Li Sends Lescot To The Rail

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The cards were all but rushed away and the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} from Eric Lescot were to be mucked, as he ended up second best to the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} of Vitaliy Li on a board of {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Metaal Loses Some to Vlachos

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Govert Metaal
Govert Metaal

Govert Metaal raised from the hijack to 4,500 and he was called by Andreas Vlachos from the big blind.

The flop fell {5-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{a-Spades} and Vlachos check-raised after Metaal bet 4,000 to 15,000. Metaal though about it for a bit and he ended up mucking his hand.

''Ace-five yeah?'' asked Metaal to his opponent but he didn't get an answer.

Romero Battles With Pollak

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On a flop of {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, James Romero checked out of the big blind and subsequently check-raised a bet of Benjamin Pollak to 14,000, which the Frenchman called. The {q-Clubs} fell on the turn and Romero gave it some thought before leaving for 22,000, which Pollak called once more.

After the {k-Diamonds} river, Romero studied his opponent and carefully cut out a bet of 60,000, which represented more than half of Pollak's remaining stack. Once the bet was moved forward, Pollak instantly released his cards into the muck.

Macnamara Gets Lucky Against Vogelsang

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Fionn Macnamara was down to 12 big blinds and was sat in the small blind. With no action in front, he shipped against his neighbour, Christoph Vogelsang, who had him covered by a whisker. Vogelsang made the call and when the cards were turned over, the Brit needed a lot of help against the German.

Fionn Macnamara: {5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Christoph Vogelsang: {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Macnamara didn't have to wait long, pairing his three on the {3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} flop. Another {3-Spades} on the turn locked it up, rendering the {a-Hearts} river irrelevant.

The chips were shipped over to Macnamara and it looked like Vogelsang was left with 5,500 but a mistake meant that Macnamara had been shortchanged and it was Vogelsang who realised first, passing over another 2,000 to his neighbor. "Very honest" commended the dealer.

The next hand Vogelsang got his last 3,500 in from the small blind after Macnamara opened the button and the big blind called as well. The {8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} was checked to the river and Vogelsang turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, which was good for a triple up. He is still in trouble though with only 6 big blinds to play with.

Martini Wins From Sammartino in Marathon Hand

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Julien Martini
Julien Martini

Orpen Kisacikoglu opened from late position to 4,500 and he was called by Dario Sammartino on his direct left. Small blind Julien Martini three-bet to 22,500. The player in the big blind thought about it for a moment but he let go of his hand. Kisacikoglu folded as well but Sammartino called after about a minute.

The flop fell {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and both players checked relatively quick. The turn was the {a-Hearts} and Martini delayed c-bet 27,500 and Sammartino went into the tank. It took him about three minutes to find a call and the {3-Hearts} river completed the board.

Martini bet 66,500 this time and Sammartino went into the tank yet again. The clock was called by Kisacikoglu after Sammartino kept staring at Martini for over four minutes. He eventually let go of his hand.

Martini showed the {7-Clubs} and told Sammartino that he had the best hand. Sammartino told him he had king-high.

Assorted Counts

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Koren Takes From Foxen

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Artur Koren limped the small blind and Alex Foxen in the big blind raised to 5,500. Koren glanced at the stack of Foxen and made the call. On a flop of {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, Koren checked and called a bet of 4,500 to see the {3-Clubs} turn. Both players opted to check and the {10-Hearts} river paired the board. Koren bet and Foxen folded instantly.

The same table also features Sam Grafton and Seth Davies.

Trofimov Eliminated by Glaser

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

[Removed:510] raised to 4,000 and Benny Glaser called, as did Besiana Antoni in the big blind with another 3,000 behind. The {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop was checked and Antoni check-folded the {6-Diamonds} turn to a bet of 5,000 by Trofimov. On the {3-Diamonds} river, Trofimov jammed for around 20,000 with the {q-Spades}{j-Spades} and Glaser almost beat him into the pot with {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the nut flush.
