Last Remaining PokerStars Ambassador Falls

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Fatima Moreira de Melo
Fatima Moreira de Melo

Shortly before the dinner break, the last PokerStars ambassador left in the field, Fatima Moreira de Melo, got eliminated from the Main Event. Folded around to the small blind, it was Aladin Reskallah who limped it in. Moreira de Melo shoved 214,000 from the big blind and Reskallah snap-called.

Fatima Moreira de Melo: {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Aladin Reskallah: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Reskallah's plan had paid off and after the board ran out {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Moreira de Melo said her goodbyes. The former Olympian received €14,800 for her 44th place finish.

Katzenberger Shows One

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

There was a pot brewing between big blind Viktor Katzenberger and button Nicola Grieco with action on the latter on a {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board. He bet 150,000 and Katzenberger came along with the call.

The river was the {j-Clubs} and Katzenberger used a time bank card before slowly cutting out a bet of 280,000 and meticulously sliding it forward. Grieco had seen enough and quickly folded his hand. Katzenberger flashed the {8-Hearts} and collected the pot to jump near a million.

Melogno Splashes the Pot

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Pablo Melogno
Pablo Melogno

The flop read {4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Pablo Melogno was all-in and at risk from the hijack as Masato Yokosawa had him covered in the big blind.

Pablo Melogno: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Masato Yokosawa: {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Yokosawa had flopped a straight and only another five could save Melogno's tournament life right now.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and the river completed the board with the {9-Clubs} to seal the deal. Melogno did not get up from his chair immediately.

Instead, he decided to flick his stack over the line in several stages, summoning his best Teddy KGB in Rounders impression, which seemed to confuse everyone at the table. About fifteen slow flicks later, he was done and got up from his chair to make his way to the payout desk, while the confusion at the table had turned into loud laughter.

Razavi Barrels into Kovalevskiy

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Melika Razavi continues to play her rush after her recent double. Serafim Kovalevskiy opened to 20,000 and Razavi three-bet to 60,000, no one else got involved and back on Kovalevskiy, he made the call.

On the {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop Kovalevskiy check-called 42,000. The turn was the {7-Spades} and Razavi bet 120,000, more than a third of Kovalevskiy's remaining stack. With a one card straight out and not a lot of chips to play with, Kovalevskiy decided that fold was the best option.

Ignacio Barcenas: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Ambrose Travers: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Volkmann Has Nines

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Alisa Sibgatova raised to 23,000 from under the gun and was called by Bruno Volkmann on the button.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, Sibgatova continued with a bet of 28,000 which Volkmann called.

They both checked through the {3-Clubs} on the turn to the {j-Hearts}. Sibgatova bet 46,000 and Volkmann tanked, using a time bank card, and then decided to make the call. Sibgatova first showed the {8-Spades} for the flopped pair of eights and then slowly turned over the {7-Spades}. Volkmann tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for the pair of nines which was good enough to scoop the pot.

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Melika Razavi
Melika Razavi

Nicola Grieco raised to 23,000 from early position and he was called by Ryan Riess from middle position, Melika Razavi in the small blind and Jorden Verbraeken in the big blind.

The flop was dealt {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and it checked to initial raiser Grieco. He continued with a bet of 48,000 and that was called by Riess and Razavi. Verbraeken got out of the way.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and that was Razavi her cue to go all in. She pushed her last 187,000 to the middle and the Italian got out of the way. Riess thought about it and called before his time ran out.

Razavi had a straight with {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Riess needed a four or an eight with his {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}. He didn't hit on the {q-Hearts} river and the pot went to Razavi.

Geilich called it off rather quickly but got shown the bad news by the Canadian high staker, who rolled over {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} for trip tens.
