Bicknell Doubles Through Fast

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

On a flop of {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}, Dietrich Fast checked in the big blind and Kristen Bicknell bet 3,000. Fast check-raised to 20,000 and Bicknell glanced back over her shoulder to check the tournament info screen. She then called with very few chips behind and called the shove of Fast on the {a-Diamonds} turn for her last 4,700.

Kristen Bicknell: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Dietrich Fast: {7-Spades}{3-Spades}

Fast had plenty of outs to score the knockout, but the {a-Clubs} river was not among them.

Diaz Loses a Big One

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Guillaume Diaz and Bruno Caron
Guillaume Diaz and Bruno Caron

On the {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop, the action checked to Rudolf Domin on the button and he made it 6,500 to go. Defending champion Guillaume Diaz called, as did Bruno Caron from one seat over. The same then happened on the {9-Spades} turn for 18,000 and the {a-Clubs} fell on the river.

Diaz checked and Caron bet 45,000. Domin reluctantly folded and Diaz was sent into a world of pain. He was trying to get any reaction from Caron, who was hiding his face with the hands. Sergio Castelluccio called the clock after more than three minutes and Diaz mentioned in chat he had an ace.

Three seconds remained on his 30 seconds clock when Diaz made the call and Caron rolled over {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} for a set of aces. Domin said he had two pair with a king and Diaz replied "I had an ace, ace deuce of diamonds."

Tosoc Eliminated by Sebag

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Ryan Tosoc
Ryan Tosoc

The pocket sevens of Ryan Tosoc were already in the muck and Albert Sebag apologized to him.

"I am sorry, I had to call, you understand?" Sebag said and Tosoc just smiled and replied "it's okay, there is still Day 1c."

Sebag had raised to 11,000 and called the shove of Tosoc with {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} to get there on the river of a {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs}{a-Clubs} board.

The Rich Get Richer

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Philippe Le Touche
Philippe Le Touche

Josep Maria Galindo Lopez opened to 2,600 and big stack Philippe Le Touche called, both then called a three-bet by Benoit Martin. On a {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop, only Le Touche called a continuation bet for 11,000 by Martin and the latter then jammed the {3-} turn for 32,100. Le Touche reluctantly called and Martin, who was part of the three-way all in for Kristen Bicknell's straight flush, turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} for kings.

Le Touche had the check mark with his {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and the {6-Clubs} river was a formality.

One table over, Jack Salter sent an opponent to the rail when he raised and called the three-bet shove with {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}. He faced {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and dodged a diamond draw on the turn to build his stack.

The field has been cut into more than half and slowly, it seems possible to take a closer look at some notable stacks with around 300 players remaining in the Salle des Etoiles.

Dmitriev Eliminated by Sinclair

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair

Vladimir Dmitriev jammed for 19,800 and Jack Sinclair did so for 45,000 from one seat over to force out everyone else.

Dmitriev tabled {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Sinclair had that dominated with the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}. The board came {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Dmitriev headed to the rail.

Not long before the dinner break, Sinclair was down to a mere 12 big blinds and is back on track with an average stack now.
