Reznev Busts Once More

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Konstantin Ramazanov
Konstantin Ramazanov

Konstantin Ramazanov raised to 2,500 and picked up two callers. Alexandr Reznev jammed out of the big blind and Ramazanov called, the cold-callers got out of the way.

Alexandr Reznev: {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Konstantin Ramazanov: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

It was all over after the turn of a {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Reznev ended up second-best once more during a bad day at the office.

A Double for Menshov

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The hopes of Sergey Menshov to make Day 2 are still alive after he just scored a double through Giorgiy Skhulukhiya. The cards of Skhulukhiya were mucked already as he paid off 8,400, being unable to beat the {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for two pair on a {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board.

Gromov Felts Khvan

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Vitaliy Khvan had been among the bigger stacks not long ago but his fortune just ran out when he got a below-average stack in preflop against Dmitry Gromov.

Khvan was trailing with the {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} as Gromov held the slightly superior {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Both paired their kicker on the {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board and Gromov rivered a flush for good measure.

Orlov Takes The Lead

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Aleksandr Orlov
Aleksandr Orlov

It was about an hour ago when Aleksandr Orlov complained about his current table and asked the floor to get a new one, half-joking. Things have since changed as Orlov has become one of the biggest stacks and a few drinks went his way, along with a few coin flips.

Latest victim of Orlov's run was Igor Khachaturov who failed to get there with {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} versus {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} on a {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs} board.

Gonzaga Eliminated by Osipov

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Terry Gonzaga
Terry Gonzaga

Terry Gonzaga was all in for crumbs and the bigger side pot emerged between Aleksey Samkov and Artur Osipov. The flop brought {j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Samkov checked, Osipov moved all in after seeing the stack of his opponent and Samkov folded with 31,000 behind.

Terry Gonzaga: {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Artur Osipov: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Backdoor diamonds or a similar miracle was needed for Gonzaga, but the {k-Clubs} turn ended his run for now and made the {7-Hearts} river a formality.

Agababaev Shows a Bluff

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Three-ways to the {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop, Otabek Sharipov checked and Evgeniy Maslennikov made it 2,800 to go from late position. Georgiy Agababaev on the button had other plans and raised to 7,700, Sharipov sigh-folded and Maslennikov reluctantly called.

Both quickly checked the {7-Clubs} turn and the {3-Spades} river brought a check-fold of Maslennikov when facing a bet of 6,000. Agababaev flipped over {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for a bluff.
