Gortikov Runs Into Aces

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Aleksey Gortikov
Aleksey Gortikov

Aleksey Gortikov was spotted all in with the {k-Spades}{q-Spades} and needed plenty of help as Natalia Panchenko had him crushed with the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

The {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop provided no reason to get excited while the {a-Clubs} on the turn reduced the outs of Gortikov to four. It was not meant to be with a blank {6-Diamonds} on the river to send Gortikov out.

Banafsheh Zahiri: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Sergii Ulitskyi: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The board came {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} and the ace on the flop spelled the end for Zahiri.

Osipov Wins First Bigger Pot

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The day started with many smaller pots and three-bets that went through. Artur Osipov then raised first to act and was called by Dmitry Ponomarov and Boris Kitov in the big blind.

On the {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Kitov check-called a bet of 52,000 by Osipov and Ponomarev also came along. Kitov was then the only one to check-call bets of 70,000 and 80,000 by Osipov on the {a-Hearts} turn and {2-Diamonds} river to get shown the {a-Spades}{9-Clubs} as the winning hand.
