Ludovic Geilich Eliminated in 10th Place (€45,270)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

Tsugunari Toma raised to 70,000 from under the gun and Ludovic Geilich defended from the big blind. The flop fell {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Geilich checked to Toma who continued for 125,000. Geilich shipped all in for 615,000 and Toma asked for a count before making the call.

Tsugunari Toma: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Ludovic Geilich: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Both players flopped top pair but Toma was out front with his kicker. The {2-Clubs} on the turn and the {3-Spades} on the river changed nothing and Geilich was eliminated in 10th place.

The final nine players will now gather at one table and the action will resume after a quick five-minute break.

Bhavin Khatri
Bhavin Khatri

Bhavin Khatri moved all in from the small blind for 590,000. Matthias EIbinger made a big show of checking his first card in the big blind which was the {a-Hearts}. He then further scrutinised his second card and asked for a count. He eventually called.

Bhavin Khatri: {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Matthias Eibinger: {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

There was a seven on the {10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop and a {6-Spades} on the turn offered additional straight outs, but the {4-Hearts} river and Khatri was eliminated.

Daniel Dvoress Eliminated in 12th Place (€40,320)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Ludovic Geilich raised to 175,000 under the gun to leave him with 60,000 behind and Daniel Dvoress called, leaving himself 25,000 behind. Action made its way around to Masato Yokosawa in the big blind and he announced he was all in. Geilich and Dvoress both called for a three-way all-in situation.

Daniel Dvoress: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Ludovic Geilich: {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Masato Yokosawa: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Dvoress was ahead for the time being but that changed when the flop came {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, giving both other players a pair and putting Yokosawa out in front in position for a double knockout. However, the turn {10-Clubs} gave Geilich trips and the river {8-Hearts} completed the runout to give him the near triple, knocking out Dvoress along the way.

"Blessed," said somebody on the rail. "Must be nice."

Geilich responded as he stacked his chips, "Definitely not blessed, that's for sure." Nonetheless, he was able to stay alive as Dvoress exited the tournament in 12th place.

Toma Doubles Leaves Dvoress Short

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Tsugunari Toma shipped all in for 480,000 in the cutoff and Daniel Dvoress re-shoved all in for slightly more on the button. The blinds quickly folded and they were off to the races.

Tsugunari Toma: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Daniel Dvoress: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The flop of {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} put Toma way out front with a set of tens. The {3-Clubs} on the turn locked up the double for Toma and Dvoress was left with just 200,000 chips.

Lofberg Puts Kempe to the Test

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Rainer Kempe raised to 60,000 in the cutoff and was called by Simon Lofberg on the button and Ludovic Geilich in the big blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Geilich checked to Kempe who continued for 55,000. Lofberg called and Geilich got out of the way.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Kempe put together another bet of 185,000. Lofberg still called and the {6-Clubs} completed the board. Kempe checked this time and Lofberg splashed in a bet of 600,000. Kempe only had around 580,000 remaining and decided to send his cards to the muck.

Khatri Loses Some to Eibinger

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The position of Matthias Eibinger to the direct left of Bhavin Khatri has proved problematic for the Brit and here he opened to 75,000 from under the gun. Undeterred, Eibinger called and the flop was {6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

Khatri bet 55,000 and Eibinger called. The turn {9-Diamonds} and river {8-Spades} were both checked down.

Khatri turned over {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} but didn't look confident, and Eibinger showed {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and took down the pot with a pair of queens.

Gianluca Speranza
Gianluca Speranza

Yunye Lu opened to 60,000 under the gun and action folded around to Gianluca Speranza in the small blind, who announced he was all in. George Wolff was next to act in the big blind and quickly announced he was also all in, prompting a fold from Lu.

Gianluca Speranza: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
George Wolff: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out clean for Speranza, coming {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} to score him the double at Wolff's expense, bringing him just shy of 1 million while Wolff now finds himself with 570,000.

Short-Stacked Double

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The action folded to Rainer Kempe on the button who raised to 410,000. Masato Yokosawa announced all in from the big blind and Kempe eyed up the other table before flicking in his last 20,000 chips.

Rainer Kempe: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Masato Yokosawa: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

It turned out to be a coin flip and Kempe held the lead through the {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {8-Spades} on the river changed nothing and Kempe doubled once again.

Dvoress Chips Up a Little More

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Masato Yokosawa opened to 60,000 in the cutoff and was called by Daniel Dvoress, defending his big blind. The two saw the flop come {5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Dvoress checked over to Yokosawa, who made a continuation-bet of 30,000. Dvoress called.

Action went check-check on the turn {2-Spades} and the river fell {a-Spades}. Dvoress threw out 100,000 and Yokosawa sent his cards to the muck after a little bit of deliberation, resulting in the pot being shipped to Dvoress, who now finds himself north of a half-million despite still being in the bottom half of the chip counts with 12 players remaining.
