Margereson and Boivin Bow Out

Level 14 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

As Scott Margereson was making his way to the exit, Thomas Boivin also shoved all in for 50,000 from the cutoff. Daniel Dvoress re-shoved all in from the small blind and Kahle Burns folded his big blind.

Daniel Dvoress: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Thomas Boivin: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

Boivin was happy to see that he was in a coin flip but the {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades} runout did not work out in his favor. With those two eliminations, the tournament is now down to 16 players and the final two tables.

Troyanovskiy Doubles Through Li

Level 14 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy open-shipped all in for 80,000 in the hijack and Yuan Li asked for a count from the big blind. Li made the call to put Troyanovski at risk.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Yuan Li: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The flop of {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} whiffed both players but the {a-Clubs} on the turn made things interesting. Troyanovskiy hit a pair of aces but Li picked up a straight and flush draw. The {8-Hearts} bricked out on the river and Troyanovskiy doubled up.

Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

In a hand that ran into the break, Scott Margereson raised to 8,000 from the hijack and Orpen Kisacikoglu defended his big blind.

They both checked through the {5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop to the {8-Clubs} on the turn. Kisacikoglu bet 7,500 and Margereson called.

The river completed the board with the {k-Spades}, Kisacikoglu checked and now Margereson fired a bet of 35,000 into the pot. Kisacikoglu tanked, used a time bank card, and then made the call. Margereson tabled {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the pair of eights on the board with the ace-kicker. Kisacikoglu showed {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} for two pair to scoop the pot.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and van Hoof checked again. Toma put together a bet of 44,000 and van Hoof instantly slid his cards to the muck. Toma flashed {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for an overpair while van Hoof pulled his cards back to show the {k-}{10-}, missing a queen for the straight.

Aces for Li, Aido Eliminated

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Arsenii Karmatckii made it 8,000 to go from the cutoff and Yuan Li three-bet to 26,000 in the small blind. Karmatckii four-bet shoved all in and Li instantly called off his stack of 131,500.

Yuan Li: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Arsenii Karmatckii: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The flop of {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} gave Li a sweat with Karmatckii hitting a pair of kings. However, the {j-Diamonds} and {2-Hearts} would not improve Karmatckii's hand who sent over a double up.

Just a couple of hands later, Sergio Aido who was sitting on a stack of less than 10 big blinds was seen leaving his seat, bringing the field down to just 19 players.

Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Adrian Mateos raised to 8,500 from the middle position and action folded to Bryn Kenney in the small blind who three-bet to 25,500. Kahle Burns folded his big blind for Mateos to make the call.

They both checked through the {8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop and the {j-Clubs} on the turn to the {8-Hearts} on the river. Kenney checked for the last time and Mateos put in most of his blue 5,000-value chips which sent Kenney into the tank. He used a time bank card, counted the remainder of his time banks, and then flicked in some chips for the call. Mateos tabled {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for trip jacks and Kenney showed he had {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}.
