Soyza and Chidwick Eliminated

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Michael Soyza
Michael Soyza

Michael Soyza shoved all in from the small blind and Chin Wei Lim called off his stack of 436,000 in the big blind. Soyza tabled {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and was flipping against the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} of Lim. The board ran out {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Lim doubled up with a full house.

In the next hand, Soyza pushed all in for his last 84,000 on the button and Timothy Adams called from the big blind. Soyza was in the lead with {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} but Adams had two live cards with {9-Spades}{6-Spades}. Adams spiked a pair of sixes on the {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} runout and Soyza was eliminated.

Following that, Adams pushed all in from the small blind and Stephen Chidwick called off his stack of less than 100,000 in the big blind. Adams held {q-Spades}{5-Hearts} against the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} of Chidwick. A five on the flop was all Adams needed in order to send Chidwick packing and bring the field down to just nine players.

Nothing But Doubles

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Jun Obara
Jun Obara

Michael Soyza kicked things off, doubling with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} against the {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} of Stephen Chidwick for around 250,000. This left Chidwick with around 100,000 but he wouldn't be the next player to get his chips in.

That would be Chin Wei Lim whose {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} outraced the pocket sixes of Jun Obara on a {j-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} run out.

With Obara down to around 140,000, Yang Wang shoved on him blind on blind and Obara called.

Yang Wang: {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Jun Obara: {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} flop gave Wang a straight draw and a chance to eliminate Obara. The turn was the {5-Hearts} and the river {5-Spades} completed his straight, but also gave his opponent a flush.

O'Dwyer Runs Into Kings

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer was one of the shortest stacks in the room and shoved all in for 127,000 from under the gun. The action folded around to Jorryt van Hoof in the big blind who snapped him off.

Jorryt van Hoof: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Steve O'Dwyer: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} which narrowed O'Dwyer's outs even more. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn and the {3-Spades} on the river only improved van Hoof to a flush and O'Dwyer was eliminated.

Soyza Doubles Through Obara

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Jun Obara opened to 32,000 and called a shove from Michael Soyza for his last 150,000.

Jun Obara: {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Michael Soyza: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The {4-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} flop put Soyza in the lead, but the {a-Diamonds} turn had Obara back in front. However, Soyza spiked a jack on the {j-Clubs} river and he double up.

Soyza on Crumbs After van Hoof Double

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Michael Soyza opened to 32,000 in early position and Jorryt van Hoof shoved all in for 265,000 in the big blind. Soyza asked for a count before making the call.

Jorryt van Hoof: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Michael Soyza: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Van Hoof was in a dominating position and the flop of {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} left it that way. The {2-Clubs} on the turn and the {q-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing and van Hoof doubled up. Soyza was left with just 25,000 chips after the hand but managed to triple up on the next hand.

Dvoress and Kisacikoglu Latest to Bust

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Following the elimination of Daniel Dvoress in 15th, Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 80,000 leaving himself around 50,000 behind which was evidently just to shuffle with.

Yang Wang moved all in from the big blind and Kisacikoglu called.

Orpen Kisacikoglu: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Yang Wang: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The {k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts} didn't help Kisacikoglu and he was eliminated just before the dinner break.
