Heath Exits the Tournament

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ben Heath went all in from middle position for his last 13,000 and Luuk Gieles announced a raise from the hijack.

"Whatever the minimum is," said Gieles. That amount was 22,000 and it was enough to clear the way for a heads-up showdown.

Ben Heath: {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Luuk Gieles: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

"I thought I had a chance with the min-raise," said Heath upon seeing what he was up against. The table erupted in laughter for a second as the dealer was preparing to spread the flop, which came {j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The turn {7-Clubs} left Heath with one last chance to stay alive, and the river {k-Hearts} dashed that chance, resulting in his elimination from the tournament.

"Good luck, guys," added Heath before making his way from the tournament area.

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Chin Wei Lim
Chin Wei Lim

Chin Wei Lim returned to a stack of just 15 big blinds and he shoved all in for 62,000 from under the gun. Steve O'Dwyer re-shoved from the small blind and the big blind quickly folded.

Chin Wei Lim: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Steve O'Dwyer: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Lim flopped a set of sixes for the lead. The {8-Hearts} on the turn gave O'Dwyer a straight draw but the {k-Spades} on the river secured a double up for Lim.

Dvoress Overbets the River

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

There was a single-raised pot preflop in a blind-on-blind battle between Daniel Dvoress in the small blind and Claas Segebrecht in the big blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Dvoress checked. Segebrecht bet 11,000 and Dvoress thought for a moment before calling.

The turn fell {10-Hearts} and saw both players check, taking action to the river {6-Clubs}. Dvoress thought for just under 20 seconds before reaching to one of his stacks of T5,000 chips. He counted them out five tall, making three stacks to total 75,000, and was in the process of combining the chips into one stack as the dealer told him he had five seconds left on his clock. He slid the stack forward and Segebrecht immediately sent his cards to the muck.

Chidwick Turns Two Pair to Double Up

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Mustafa Jukovic limped in from the hijack which invited Juha Helppi and Stephen Chidwick to come along from the blinds. The flop came {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and the action checked to Jukovic who bet 5,000. Helppi folded and Chidwick called.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Chidwick checked again. Jukovic fired out another bet of 16,000 and Chidwick stuck in a check-raise. Jukovic quickly announced all in and Chidwick called off his stack of 97,000 just as fast.

Chidwick turned over {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for two pair and Jukovic was not happy with his {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. The river was the {7-Spades} and Chidwick held on for a full double up.

Level 8 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ramin Hajiyev got his last 65,000 or so in the middle preflop from early position and received action from Tsugunari Toma, who was in the big blind.

Ramin Hajiyev: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Tsugunari Toma: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Level 9 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jans Arends raised it up from the cutoff and Pascal Hartmann stuck in a three-bet to 42,000 from the small blind. Arends called and the two players saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Both players checked and the {8-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

Hartmann checked again and Arends splashed in a bet of 35,000 which Hartmann called. The {9-Spades} paired the board on the river and Hartmann checked once more. Arends shoved all in for over 200,000 and Hartmann dumped his cards in the muck.
