Mateos Eliminated by Jukovic

Level 12 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Mustafa Jukovic opened to 12,000 in early position and action folded around to Jans Arends, who was on the button and called. Adrian Mateos was in the big blind and went all in for 28,000, and both players called to take any future action to a side pot.

The flop came {2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Jukovic bet 30,000 and Arends folded, paving the way for hands to be tabled.

Adrian Mateos: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Mustafa Jukovic: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Mateos needed to hit a king or jack to stay alive, but instead the board ran out with a turn {5-Spades} and river {3-Diamonds}, putting a six-high straight on board. Jukovic's sevens meant his straight was one notch higher, eliminating Mateos from the tournament as a result.

Ruijs Doubles Through Mateos

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Joris Ruijs
Joris Ruijs

Adrian Mateos went all in for 53,000 under the gun and action folded around to Joris Ruijs in the big blind, who called off his remaining 25,000.

Joris Ruijs: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Adrian Mateos: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Ruijs had two live cards but would need neither as the flop came {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts} to give him a straight. The turn {6-Diamonds} removed any possibility of counterfeit and the river {j-Diamonds} completed the runout, earning Ruijs the double and leaving Mateos to be the most recent player with under five big blinds worth of chips in their stack.

Back-to-Back Doubles for Adams

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Timothy Adams was down to just 34,000 but doubled up with pocket eights against the ace-six of Daniel Dvoress. In the next hand, Joris Ruijs opened to 12,000 and Adams shipped all in for 77,000 in the small blind. Ruijs made the call and the cards were tabled.

Timothy Adams: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Joris Ruijs: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board of {7-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} missed both players which meant Adams' ace-high was good enough for another double up.

Lim Back in Action; Segebrecht Gone

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Chin Wei Lim
Chin Wei Lim

Chin Wei Lim appeared to have doubled again and was in the process of three-betting all in from the big blind for 127,000 to get a reshove through and further build from there. On the following hand, Claas Segebrecht opened to 12,000 from the cutoff and Lim three-bet all in again. Segebrecht called all in for a bit less.

Claas Segebrecht: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Chin Wei Lim: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Both players found themselves tabling king-queen, and even though Segebrecht's was suited he was the one who wound up needing to fade a flush as the flop came {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The turn {7-Spades} was one-half of the necessary safe cards to come, but the river {2-Clubs} gave Lim the flush, earning him the pot and the knockout, increasing his stack tenfold in the last 15 minutes or so.

Sam Greenwood raised it up from under the gun and George Wolff called on his left along with Juan Pardo in the big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Pardo checked to Greenwood who bet 11,000. Wolff called and Pardo got out of the way.

The turn was the {q-Hearts} and both players checked to the {10-Spades} on the river. Greenwood checked again and Wolff counted out a bet of 42,000. Greenwood made the call and Wolff showed {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a full house and Greenwood mucked.

Lim Makes Three Eights To Double

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Chin Wei Lim was down to his last 25,000 and shoved from middle position. Action folded around to the big blind, where Luuk Gieles confirmed the amount before making the call.

Chin Wei Lim: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Luuk Gieles: {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Lim was posed to double as the flop dropped {j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, but the turn {k-Hearts} improved Gieles to where Lim only had two cards left in the deck to stay alive. Luckily for him, the river {8-Hearts} was one of those two, giving him a set to improve back to the best hand and score the double as a result.

Toan Chalks Up a Victory

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Robbie Toan raised to 14,000 from the cutoff and Tsugunari Toma defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Toma checked to Toan who continued for 13,000. Toma check-raised to 38,000 and Toan shoved all in. Toma quickly called off his stack of around 100,000 and the cards were tabled.

Robbie Toan: {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Tsugunari Toma: {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Toma flopped two pair but Toan was drawing live with a flush draw. The {9-Diamonds} was a brick on the turn but the {5-Hearts} on the river completed Toan's flush to eliminate Toma.
