Delfoco Eliminated by Pedersen

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Down to very few chips, Francesco Delfoco got it in with the {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} out of the small blind and Helge Pedersen made the call from the big blind with the {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

The {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} board left Delfoco drawing dead on the turn and he headed to the rail.

"It's not a good seat," Konstantin Farber from one seat over said as apparently another player had busted in that one before also.

Blom Takes From Kesaplyan

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Levon Kesaplyan and Thomas Quaade limped in and Viktor Blom in the cutoff made it 1,400 to go. Only Kesaplyan called to see the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop and he opted to check. Blom announced a bet of 1,800 and Kesaplyan double-checked his cards, shook his head and sent them to the muck.

Despite losing this small pot, Kesaplyan has enjoyed a superior start as he is well up in chips while Blom is below the starting stack.

Nguyen Doubles Through Labat

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

In a four-bet pot, it was Antoine Labat who pushed in the last raise to 5,300 from the blinds and Thi Nguyen who called on the button. The flop brought {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Labat checked. Nguyen shipped it in for 15,800 total and Labat quickly called.

Thi Nguyen: {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Antoine Labat: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

"Flip," Labat remarked. The {7-Clubs} on the turn locked the hand up for Nguyen on the spot, making the {3-Diamonds} river a mere formality.

Ruijs Takes From Lodge

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

On a three-way turn of {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Harry Lodge checked in the small blind and the big blind made it 1,600 to go. Joris Ruijs called from under the gun and Lodge raised it up to 6,300. That got rid of the third player in the hand but Ruijs had other plans and moved all in to force a fold from Lodge.

Calamusa Jams Up His Stack

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

On the tail end of a big pot, only Luke Marsh and Pierre Calamusa remained and the former checked to Calmusa, who moved all in with the board showing {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

Marsh had a big stack at his disposal and eventually opted to fold, Calamusa raked in the pot with a big smile on the face.

"You did a bluff, eh? But be careful, he doesn't like to fold," another player at the table pointed out.

According to Calamusa, he had faced a raise to 800 and a call by Marsh in the small blind. Calamusa three-bet to 3,500 and picked up two callers. A first barrel of 5,000 by Calamusa on the flop was called two ways and just Marsh check-called 13,000 on the turn before check-folding the river.

Thin Value for Merzhvinskiy

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

A bet of 1,500 by Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy on the {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} river was called by Frederic Delval, who flashed ace-five and ended up second-best to the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} of Merzhvinskiy.

"Sneaky, sneaky," Delval added and then asked Merzhvinskiy if he remembered the final table of a small event they played together a month ago.

Both Delval and Merzhvinskiy, who finished third in this very event one year ago, are up in chips. Further assorted counts from nearby tables can be found below.
