Perelta Doubles Dimov

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Eugenio Peralta had missed the first few hands and arrived late. Right after that he was involved in an all-in with former EPT champion Ognyan Dimov and had the best of it with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} versus {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

However, the board came {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts} to give Dimov an unlikely straight.

Calamusa Approaching Half a Million

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Pierre Calamusa
Pierre Calamusa

Aidan Hynes three-bet jammed his short stack from the button and he was called by chip leader Pierre Calamusa in the hijack.

"Please don't tell me you have queen-jack," Hynes said and tabled his {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Calamusa was ahead with {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Hynes added "that's fair, I'll take it."

The {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop gave Calamusa top pair and the nut flush draw, and he held onto the lead on the {7-Hearts} turn and {j-Diamonds} river.

Lebedev on His Way Up, Bedell on His Way Out

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

There was an under-the-gun open to 3,400 that Xavier Mouysset had called from the cutoff before Nikieta Lebedev three-bet all in from the small blind for 34,200. Tom-Aksel Bedell was in the big blind with only a few big blinds-worth of chips and called them off as well. The original opener folded to put action back onto Mouysset, and he confirmed the amount before quickly calling.

Tom-Aksel Bedell: {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Nikita Lebedev: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Xaier Mouysset: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Bedell was the last of the three to show his cards: "I can't beat that!" he exclaimed when Mouysset tabled his nines after calling.

Lebedev then tabled his tens: "I can't beat that either!" Bedell said. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} to give Lebedev a set on the flop, earning his double and a little bit more without any resistance, and is off to a good start on Day 2 having chipped up to around 80,000 after starting the day with just 18,300.

"Toasty!"

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

After a raise to 3,200 and a call, Alexander Ivanov shoved all in for 12,200. From the big blind, Andreas Vlachos reraised to 23,600 to get the others out of the way.

Alexander Ivanov: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Andreas Vlachos: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} flop brought something for both players but after the dealer flipped over the {a-Hearts} and {7-Clubs} as the remaining community cards, it'd be Ivanov to double with an easy four-of-a-kind.

"Toasty!" Parker Talbot chirped.

Lim Takes From Li

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Chin Wei Lim raised to 3,200 under the gun and he was called by big blind Vitaliy Li when it folded to him. The flop was dealt {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} and both players checked.

Li checked to Lim on the {k-Diamonds} turn and Lim put a bet of 4,000 in the middle. It didn't take too long for Li to call the bet.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and both checked again. Li had flopped top pair with {a-Spades}{8-Spades} but that wasn't good after the king on the turn as Lim hit top pair with {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Martin Finger raised to 3,500 and was called by Graeme Siow from one seat over and Silma Macalou in the big blind. The flop brought {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} and all three players checked. Liao Loses Via Suckout

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Dominik Panka
Dominik Panka

All of the chips got in the middle preflop between Chien Liao in early position and Dominik Panka, who was in the cutoff, with effective stacks totaling around 90,000.

Chien Liao: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Dominik Panka: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The flop came {2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} to keep Liao out in front and poised for a double. The turn {6-Hearts} brought a pair onboard, giving Panka six outs to a chop, but he ended up winning the entire pot as the river {q-Diamonds} hit the felt to earn him the knockout and surpass 200,000 along the way.
