Novoselov Eliminated by Kolyasnikov

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

It is all going on over on Table 4, with yet another elimination taking place there. This time it was Novoselov's turn to hit the rail. He kick-started the betting with a 6,500 open and Kartik Ved three-bet him to 17,000 from the small blind. Day 1 chip leader Sergey Kolyasnikov called and Novoselov went all in for 98,000 total. It was a fold from Ved before Kolyasnikov made what looked like a grudging call and it turned out he was a long way behind Novoselov.

Sergey Kolyasnikov: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Roman Novoselov: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop couldn't have been much better for Kolyasnikov, who soared into the lead. Novoselov understandably rose from his seat at this point, before the dealer put the {10-Diamonds} turn and {6-Clubs} river down, which were no help to him.

Yantsevich Takes Chip Lead After Eliminating Two Opponents

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Valery Yantsevich
Valery Yantsevich

PokerNews was alerted to Table 4 by a few gasps from the players sat at it. Gor Kazaryan had opened the betting to 6,500 from under the gun and Tobias Matuschek had moved all in for 56,000. Ezequiel Waigel went over the top, making it 133,000 total. When the action came to Valery Yantsevich, he called and Gor Kazaryan open-folded ace-king. It turned out to be the correct decision when the cards were turned over.

Valery Yantsevich: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Tobias Matuschek: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Ezequiel Waigel: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Yantsevich scooped the lot for a monstrous lead in the counts now. Meanwhile, we imagine Gor Kazaryan is wishing he didn't make such a big lay down as he would have quadrupled his short stack.

Gao Doubles Through Kalinin

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Wenling Gao
Wenling Gao

Wenling Gao has just found a much-needed double against Nikita Kalinin. Gao got all her chips in with {j-Spades}{8-Spades} on a {5-Spades}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and hit a flush on the {4-Spades} turn, to secure the pot. The {q-Hearts} river made no difference and she is on the rise, whilst Kalinin is left short.

Timofeev Eliminated by Karmatskiy

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Less than 45 minutes into the first level today and the steady run of eliminations continues. We have just lost another player after Denis Timofeev ran {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} into Arseniy Karmatskiy's {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

The {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades} board couldn't help Timofeev and Karmatskiy told him "good game" as he got up to leave. Karmatskiy is up to almost 100 big blinds after that hand.

Eltsov Out

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The action folded to Oleg Eltsov on the button and, down to just 14,000, he moved all in. Both Maksim Bukreev and Vanush Mnatsakanyan called in the small and big blinds respectively.

The {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop went check-check, as did the {9-Clubs} turn. On the {j-Hearts} river, Bukreev bet 34,000, which got Mnatsakanyan to pass and they turned their cards over.

Maksim Bukreev: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Oleg Eltsov: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Bukreev had the better kicker to accompany his high card ace and Eltsov is out.

Tatyana Barausova
Tatyana Barausova

One of the two women in the field, Tatyana Barausova, has busted. Barausova began as the shortest stacked player, beginning with just 10 big blinds and was eliminated by late registrant Vanush Mnatsakanyan just now. Wengling Gao is now the only female player still in the running.

Kiselev Surpasses 300,000 Chips

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Daniil Kiselev started the day second in chips but has already nabbed the top spot after eliminating Radik Lyapin. It began with an open from Kiselev and Lyapin defended from the big blind.

On the {j-Spades}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop, Lyapin chose to lead for 7,000 and Kiselev called. The turn was the {a-Clubs} and Lyapin bet another 10,000 into the pot. Kiselev upped it, setting his opponent all in and Lyapin called.

Daniil Kiselev: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Radik Lyapin: {9-Spades}{3-Spades}

It was a club flush draw vs a spade flush draw but Kiselev had the high card to go with it, making him the big favourite. The river was the {7-Diamonds} and secured the pot for Kiselev, whilst Lyapin hit the rail.
