2019 PokerStars EPT Sochi
Five tables are in the theatre away from the main tournament area, and Aleksandr Sheshukov has been racking up the pots so that he now sits on around 600,000, surpassing long-time leader Aleksandr Denisov at the top of the chip counts.
Sheshukov finished 34th in the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event last year and will be looking for a similarly deep finish this time around in his native Russia.
Yaniv Peretz has just played his last hand. After Pier Varrelli limped under the gun, it folded to Peretz who shipped 35,000 all in. With everyone else folding, the action came back to Varrelli who tanked before grudgingly making the call.

"Birds of a feather flock together"
Seated at Table 16 are Mikhail Aleksandrov and Mark Zhang, both of whom have over 400,000 in chips.
Meanwhile at Table 17, start-of-day chip leader Aleksandr Denisov was standing up seemingly in a state of faux shock as Dmitry Yurasov was moved to his table. Between them the pair have well over one million in chips and the two exchanged light-hearted words back and forth before Denisov resumed his seat.
Other big stacks around the tournament room include Serafim Kovalevskiy, Viktor Ustimov and Matous Houzvicek.
Reigning Champion Arseniy Karmatskiy is down to 25 big blinds or so. He just won a pot a medium sized pot, which could signal a shift in the direction he is moving in.
There was an open and Sergey Bagirov, who was down to 22,000, went all in. Ezequiel Waigel raised it up again, putting a stack of 5k chips in and it was an easy fold for the initial raiser. The two flipped their cards on their backs and Waigel was the 4:1 favourite.

Dmitry Yurasov has been quietly chipping up throughout the day and is now up to almost triple the average. Currently 20th on Russia's all time money list with over $2.6 million in cashes, Yurasov is certainly one to keep an eye on at the best of times but even more so now that he has a stack.
