Kabrhel Caught Speeding

Level 18 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Andras Nemeth limped and Martin Kabrhel checked his option the big blind to see the {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop. Kabrhel check-called a bet 25,000 which brought in the {4-Diamonds} turn.

Kabrhel checked once more and and Nemeth sized up to 75,000. Kabrhel then raised to his "favourte number," 222,000. Nemeth thought for a moment and called.

Kabrhel bet 225,000 on the {10-Spades} river and Nemeth would go deep into the tank, giving the dealer several time banks. Eventually he called and Kabrhel rolled over his {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for king-high. Nemeth paired his ace as he was holding the {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} to claim the pot.

Andras Nemeth opened to 55,000 and Martin Kabrhel called.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{2-Hearts} and both players checked.

Kabrhel bet 50,000 on the {j-Diamonds} turn and Nemeth called.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Kabrhel bet 75,000. Nemeth raised all in for 429,000.

Kabrhel deliberated for a minute or so.

"I don't believe you have such big balls," he said, before ultimately folding.

"It was a bluff? You found your balls?" Kabrhel asked. "I put you on nine-ten. I had jack-peanuts..."

Kabrhel into Chip Lead

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Andras Nemeth opened to 50,000 and Martin Kabrhel three-bet to 222,000 — his lucky number. Nemeth called.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Kabrhel checked. Nemeth bet 16,000 and Kabrhel check-raised all in. Nemeth quickly folded.

"Top set," said Kabrhel. "I'm getting all the good hands today. It's so easy. My cleaning lady could play these hands!"

On a {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop both Andras Nemeth and Martin Kabrhel checked.

The turn was the {a-Spades} and Nemeth check-called 40,000 from Kabrhel.

The river was the {k-Hearts} and both players checked.

Nemeth tabled {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Kabrhel showed {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} with the two players chopping the pot.

"What is this hand!" said Kabrhel. "Calling with this banana hand."

"Honey!" he continued, impersonating another loudmouthed poker player. "He called me with king-three!"

Even Start to Heads-Up Play

On the first hand of heads-up play, Andras Nemeth opened to 45,000 and Martin Kabrhel called.

The pair checked the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{k-Spades} flop and turn, and the river was the {3-Hearts}. Kabrhel bet 75,000 and Nemeth folded.

A couple of hands later, Kabrhel opened to 40,000 and Nemeth called.

The flop {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs} was checked by Nemeth, and as Kabrhel went to check his cards, he momentarily — and accidentally — exposed his hand.

"Did you see?" he asked, but Nemeth shook his head.

Kabrhel checked behind, and Nemeth checked the {q-Hearts} turn. Kabrhel bet 30,000.

"If you fold I know you were honest because you did not see my cards," said Kabrhel.

Nemeth called.

"Ahhh you are not honest Hungary!" said Kabrhel as the river {2-Diamonds} went check-check. Nemeth tabled {k-Clubs}{6-Spades} and took down the pot.

Pablo Brito Silva moved all-in for 138,000 from the button before Martin Kabrhel re-shoved from the small blind. Andras Nemeth folded to set up the all-in showdown.

Pablo Brito Silva: {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Martin Kabrhel: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Kabrhel paired up on the {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop but the {5-Diamonds} turn gave the at-risk player a hist of outs to survive. The {j-Spades} was a brick and Brito Silva bowed out in third place for €77,790.

Heads-up play is now underway.
