Small Showdown Pots Only

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, Andrea Cortellazzi and Bruno Fitoussi checked down the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} board entirely and Fitoussi won the pot with the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}.

Soon after, Fitoussi raised to 65,000 on the button and folded when George Chiriac three-bet to 185,000 in the small blind.

Chiriac opened to 65,000 the next hand and Grzegorz Glowny defended the big blind. The {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop was checked by Glowny and he then called a bet worth 55,000. The {10-Clubs} turn and {8-Diamonds} river went check, check, and Glowny won the urgently needed pot with the {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for aces and sevens.

Caminita Gets Another Favourable Runout

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Gab Yong Kim raised from under the gun and received calls from Demetrio Caminita from one seat over and Justin Steinbrenner in the big blind. The {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop was checked by Steinbrenner and Kim bet 85,000, picking up calls from Caminita and Steinbrenner.

All three players checked the {a-Spades} on the turn and the {a-Hearts} river was checked to Caminita, who bet 300,000. Steinbrenner used one time bank extension before calling while Kim then sigh-folded. Caminita tabled the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for another aces full and Steinbrenner mucked his cards while exposing the {7-Diamonds}.

Rezaei Doubles Through Kim

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

With nearly 200,000 in the pot and {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts} on the board, Armin Rezaei checked from early position and Gab Yong Kim bet 75,000. Rezaei check-raised to 335,000, leaving 30,000 behind, and Kim four-bet shoved.

Rezaei used several time extensions to allow for an opportunity to move into the next payout tier, but no one busted out and he eventually called for the last 30,000.

Armin Rezaei: {6-Spades}{5-Spades}
Gab Yong Kim: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The turn was {10-Spades} and the river {5-Clubs} brought a second pair for Rezaei to secure the double.

"Now I've used most of my time banks!" Rezaei lamented as he dragged the unlikely pot.

Tedeschi Doubles Through Cortellazzi

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Following a button raise to 65,000 by Paul Tedeschi, Andrea Cortellazzi simply moved all-in out of the big blind with the covering stack. Tedeschi asked for a count on the shove, which was for more than 2.6 million in total.

Tedeschi glanced over to the tournament info screen several times and then called it off for the 875,000 he had at his disposal.

Paul Tedeschi: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Andrea Cortellazzi: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The {7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop was no threat for Tedeschi but Cortellazzi picked up a gutshot on the {6-Diamonds} turn. However, another blank followed on the {10-Diamonds} river and the Frenchman doubled.

Cortellazzi Jams Into Labous

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In a three-bet pot to the {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, Manuel Labous checked from under the gun and then called a bet of 260,000 by Andrea Cortellazzi. The {10-Hearts} followed on the turn and Labous checked once more. Barely any time passed before Cortellazzi pulled the trigger and moved all-in, which instantly sent Labous into a "woah".

Labous had around 30 blinds behind and used one time bank extension before he opted for the fold.

"Ace jack?" Cortellazzi asked and his opponent replied "no, I had queens."
