Montone Caught Speeding by Miegel

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

With around 15,000 in the middle, with a board displaying the {k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, Jakob Miegel bet 6,700 from middle position and was called by Diego Montone on the button.

On the {5-Diamonds} river, Miegel sized down to 5,500 and his opponent snap-jammed for around 16,500. Miegel didn't waste any time in calling and turned over his {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} to scoop. Montone made a move with pocket sixes but would move out of the tournament room instead.

Giachnis Chipping Up

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Action arrived on the turn as the board read {3-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Aris Giachnis bet 14,000 into a pot of about 25,000.

His opponent thought for well over a minute before deciding that it was time to release his cards as he folded. Giachnis collected the pot and moved his stack closer to the 100,000 marker.

O'Kearney Having a Tough Time; Arnault Busts

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Dara O'Kearney
Dara O'Kearney

With 3,500 in the middle on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, The blinds checked to Dara O'Kearney who bet 1,000 from early position. Aris Giachnis called on his immediate right, as did the blinds. The {10-Hearts} checked through to the {q-Hearts} river where Giachnis fired for 2,200 and only the small blind, Olivier Arnault called.

Giachnis turned over the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} to scoop.

The very next hand, Giannopollos Konstantinos opened to 1,000 and O'Kearney three-bet to 3,600 from the big blind. His opponent called to see the {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop and then check-raised to 20,000 after the Chip Race podcast host bet 3,100. O'Kearney returned his cards to the muck.

A few hands later, Jacobo Montoya opened to 1,000 and O'Kearney raised again, this time to 3,000. Montoya called.

The {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop checked through to the {4-Diamonds} turn, where Montaya led for 3,500. O'Kearney again made the fold and has become a short stack. His table mate Arnault however, would bow out in the next hand.

Glogar Makes Right Call

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

The board read {j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} on the river. Alexander Glogar was squaring off with his opponent who bet 10,000 into a pot of about 20,000. Glogar called quickly.

His opponent said good call and started to muck his cards as Glogar showed the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the winner to collect the decent size pot.
