Jon Clark
Jon Clark

There was another elimination seconds after the previous one right before break as Jon Clark was standing up and at risk with the {k-Spades}{6-Spades} against the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} of Jon Kyte.

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} to make Kyte the winner of the Jon-on-Jon violence and eliminate Clark in 13th place.

Dragos Trofimov

Vincenzo Schiavottiello doubled through Dragos Trofimov when his {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} held vs the {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} in a preflop all in.

The very next hand, Schiavottiello raised from the hijack and Trofimov jammed from the small blind which was called.

Trofimov was in trouble as he held the {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} against the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} of Schiavottiello.

The board ran out {j-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Trofimov was the next player to go.

Leathley Calls Pyke's Bluff

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Guy Leathley
Guy Leathley

Guy Leathley defended his big blind to a raise from Danny Pyke, and the two were heads up to the {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} flop.

Leathley check-called Pyke's continuation bet of 200,000, and both players checked the {10-Spades} turn. Leathley led out on the {9-Spades} river for 265,000, which was quickly raised by Pyke to 650,000.

Leathley took his time before making the call and Pyke slid his cards to the dealer, who turned over {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Leathley showed in {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for the winning hand, taking down a sizeable pot.

Kyte Cracks Cowboys

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jon Kyte made it 500,000 from under the gun to commit over half of his stack. Igor D'Ursel three-bet all in from the hijack. It folded back around to Kyte who put in the rest after a few moments.

Jon Kyte: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Igor D'Ursel: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The flop was a dream for Kyte as it came {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{q-Spades} to not only pair the ace but bring in two spades as well. The turn was the {4-Hearts} and the river came the {2-Spades} to confirm the double for Kyte.

Laidlaw Shoves the River

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Dan Laidlaw raised to 160,000 from under the gun, with the action folding around to Olivier Arnault in the big blind. Arnault made the call to see the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop, and quickly checked.

Laidlaw continued with a minimum bet of 80,000, and Arnault called again to the {2-Spades} turn. Arnault led out for 300,000, which was called by Laidlaw.

Arnault then checked the {k-Spades} river, and Laidlaw announced all in for roughly 1,000,000 more chips. Arnault took some time before making the fold, and Laidlaw added to his stack.

Mohamed Aissaoui
Mohamed Aissaoui

After Jon Kyte had doubled through Mohamed Aissaoui a couple of hands prior he finished him off as he held the {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} in a preflop all in against the {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts} of Aissaoui.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} but the turn was the {k-Spades} to put Aissaoui right on the edge of elimination which he would tumble over into as the {j-Diamonds} came on the river to end his day in 15th place.

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Ghassan Bitar
Ghassan Bitar

In a battle of the blinds, Conor Beresford raised enough to put Ghassan Bitar all in and Bitar quickly called.

Ghassan Bitar: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Conor Beresford: {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Bitar was well out in front to begin the hand, but Beresford took the lead on the {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop. The {8-Hearts} turn and {3-Spades} river was no help, and Bitar's run came to an end in 16th place.

Laidlaw Jams on Jacobson

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The flop read {3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. From middle position, Martin Jacobson bet 225,000. Dan Laidlaw was on the button and ripped all in for 935,000 total.

Jacobson went into the tank and eventually had the clock called on him as he thought it out. He ultimately reached the decision to fold.

After the hand, Jacobson asked Laidlaw "what do you think I had?"

Laidlaw shrugged and replied "I don't really care" as he stacked the pot.
