Colin Wu Eliminated in 20th Place (£7,960)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Colin Wu
Colin Wu

Moments after winning a big pot with pocket kings, Conor Beresford was all in against the short stack of Colin Wu. The race was on for Wu's tournament life.

Colin Wu: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Conor Beresford: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Wu was in front with his small pocket pair, and remained ahead after the {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. Beresford spiked the {k-Clubs} turn to take the lead, and held on after the {5-Diamonds} river to eliminate Wu in 20th Place.

Richard Harrison Eliminated in 21st Place (£6,630)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Richard Harrison
Richard Harrison

All in and call was heard as Dragos Trofimov was at risk with the {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} against the {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} of Richard Harrison. But Harrison's lead would not last for very long as the flop came {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the river the {5-Spades} to leave Harrison with less than four big blinds.

The next hand Harrison would lose the rest as his {k-Spades}{9-Clubs} fell to the {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} of Robin Scheidegger when the board gave Scheidegger a flush on the river.

Pyke Has Nine Lives

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Danny Pyke opened to 120,000 from the cutoff and Jon Kyte three-bet jammed a stack of around 475,000 from the small blind. Pyke called with a bigger stack.

Jon Kyte: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Danny Pyke: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

Kyte had Pyke dominated by a few pips but the board then ran out {9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for the two to chop the pot.

"You have nine lives!" Rungarun Thongnonsung told Pyke.

"I don't need any lives!" the deep-stacked Pyke shot back.

Jacob Lee Eliminated in 22nd Place (£6,630)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jacob Lee
Jacob Lee

Jacob Lee was all in against Dragos Trofimov, with Lee at risk as the shorter stack.

Jacob Lee: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Dragos Trofimov: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}

The flop of {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} kept Lee in the lead, but the {8-Spades} turn left him needing help on the river. The {3-Hearts} changed nothing, ending Lee's run in 22nd place.

Leathley Doubles Big Through Harrison

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Guy Leathley
Guy Leathley

From early position, Richard Harrison raised to 100,000. Jon Clark flat-called from the cutoff. Guy Leathley three-bet to 450,000 from the big blind.

Harrison four-bet to 1,100,000 after a few moments of thought. Clark got out of the way and Leathley then five-bet jammed which Harrison called.

Guy Leathley: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Richard Harrison: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

It was a critical flip that would sway the way of Leathley as the flop came {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and the river the {q-Hearts} to score a big pot for Leathley.

Hector Berry Eliminated in 23rd Place (£6,630)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Hector Berry
Hector Berry

Conor Beresford opened from early position and Hector Berry three-bet jammed a stack of about 150,000 from the button. Beresford called with a bigger stack.

Hector Berry: {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Conor Beresford: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

It was a fair fight until the flop landed {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to give Beresford a stranglehold on the hand with a set and the runout of {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} didn't change anything for Berry to be eliminated in 23rd place.

"You're on a roll!" table mate Ghassan Bitar told Beresford.

Laidlaw Spikes the Double

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Dan Laidlaw moved all in for his last 345,000 chips from early position, and the action folded around to Jacob Lee. The call was made, and the hands were turned up.

Dan Laidlaw: {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Jacob Lee: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Lee exclaimed "no ace" moments before the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, putting Laidlaw in a commanding position. The {2-Diamonds} turn and {q-Clubs} river completed the board, giving Laidlaw the double-up and leaving Lee short.
