Jacobson Applies the Pressure

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Martin Jacobson raised to 150,000 from middle position, with Jon Clark calling on the button to see the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop.

Jacobson checked to Clark, who slid out a bet of 125,000. That was met by a three-bet from Jacobson to 275,000, and Clark called to the {3-Clubs} turn.

Jacobson announced all in, with Clark taking a couple of minutes before making the fold. Jacobson showed the {j-Hearts} as he collected the chips and added to his stack.

Aissaoui Continues to Sink

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Action was joined on the river with a board reading {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} with the three players in the hand. From the small blind, Mohamed Aissaoui bet 225,000. Julien Sitbon was in the big blind and raised to 575,000 while Martin Jacobson folded in early position. Aissaoui called after a moment.

Sitbon tabled the {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flush which bested Aissaoui's {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} trips as he lost even more from his stack which has dwindled on Day 3 after starting the day second in chips.

Robin Scheidegger Eliminated in 17th Place (£9,540)

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Robin Scheidegger
Robin Scheidegger

Guy Leathley raised to 125,000 from early position and called when Robin Scheidegger moved all in on the button. The blinds got out of the way, and Scheidegger was at risk.

Robin Scheidegger: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Guy Leathley: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Scheidegger was looking for help, but the {j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop gave Leathley a set. The turn {2-Clubs} and river {7-Diamonds} changed nothing, as Scheidegger was eliminated in 17th place.

Sitbon Makes Arnault Sweat

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Olivier Arnault
Olivier Arnault

Julien Sitbon opened to 125,000 from the hijack and Olivier Arnault three-bet jammed a stack of 490,000 from the button. Sitbon went deep in the tank when the action got around.

"Sorry, guys. I've got a really bad hand, that's why I'm taking so long," Sitbon told the table before making the call.

Olivier Arnault: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Julien Sitbon: {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Sitbon was far behind and got even further behind when the flop came {7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} to give Arnault a set. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn kept things interesting as Sitbon picked up a flush draw, but the {9-Spades} bricked off on the river to keep Arnault alive.

"You made him REALLY sweat!" laughed Ghassan Bitar.

Rungarun Thongnonsung

Rungarun Thongnonsung was the short stack returning from break, and her chips were in the middle right away against Vincenzo Schiavottiello.

Rungarun Thongnonsung: {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Vincenzo Schiavottiello: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The flop of {q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} was clean for Thongnonsung, as was the {3-Clubs} turn to remain in front. But Schiavottiello spiked the {j-Clubs} river to end Thongnonsung's run in 19th place.
