Turn and River Ugly for Thomas

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Julian Thomas opened to 17,000 from under the gun and found one caller, fellow big stack Jaesung Lee.

The flop came out {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Both players checked.

The turn came the {8-Spades}. Thomas put out the delayed continuation-bet of 27,000. In position, Lee raised that bet up to 65,000. After some thought, Thomas came along with a call.

The river brought the {10-Hearts}, completing the flush draw. Thomas led again, for 85,000 on the final street. Lee didn't think long before calling.

Thomas showed {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for top two pair. That was no good, though, when Jaesung Lee showed {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for his set and the winner.

Stokkan Busts Another

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Preben Stokkan opened to 19,000 in the cutoff, and he was called by Stoyan Obreshkov in the big blind with just three big blinds behind his call.

The flop showed up {8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Obreshkov thought for a bit before announcing "all in," and sliding about 24,000 into the middle. Stokkan called quickly.

"Two live cards please," said Obreshkov.

Stoyan Obreshkov: {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Preben Stokkan: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

"Ok, one live card," Obrsehkov saw his thin hope rely on an upcoming turn and river.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and river the {6-Clubs}, a no-good pair for Obreshkov, and he was eliminated.

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ramon Colillas
Ramon Colillas

Ramon Colillas raised it up from middle position and Jerry Odeen flat-called on the button. They went heads-up to a flop of {j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Colillas fired out a bet of 20,000. Odeen raised to 48,000 and Colillas shipped all in for a little over 100,000. Odeen quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Ramon Colillas: {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Jerry Odeen: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Both players flopped top pair but it was Odeen that was in front with the ace-kicker. The {q-Diamonds} on the turn and the {10-Hearts} on the river were no help to Colillas who was sent to the payout desk.
