Addamo Nearly All In Twice

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Michael Addamo raised to 95,000 from the small blind, leaving himself just 5,000 behind, as big blind Pascal Lefrancois asked for a count before mucking.

The next hand, Addamo again shoved all in but got no takers from Lefrancois and David Yan in the blinds.

Watson Has the Better Kicker

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Mike Watson opened from the hijack to 55,000 and was called by big blind Aleksejs Ponakovs.

The flop came {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Ponakovs checked to Watson, who bet 75,000. Ponakovs called.

Both players checked the {k-Hearts} turn. The river came the {8-Spades} and Ponakovs checked yet again. Watson checked behind and Ponakovs showed {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for top pair.

Watson, though, turned over {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} to win the pot with his jack, ace-kicker.

Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick was forced all in from the big blind as Michael Soyza raised to 40,000 in middle position and David Yan called in the small blind.

They checked down the {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades} board and Yan showed {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Chidwick had a {6-} for a pair of sixes, but Soyza turned over {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} to win the pot and knock out Chidwick in ninth place.

The remaining eight players are now in the money and guaranteed €114,480.

Pardo Hits The Rail; Ponakovs Takes Chip Lead

Level 17 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Aleksejs Ponakovs
Aleksejs Ponakovs

Action folded around to Aleksejs Ponakovs in the small blind who moved all in, covering Juan Pardo in the big blind. Pardo put some thought in before calling for his last 260,000.

Juan Pardo: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Aleksejs Ponakovs: {k-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Pardo was ahead preflop, but when the board ran out {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, it was the rivered trips for Ponakovs that sent Pardo to the rail in 10th place.

Pascal Lefrancois

Pascal Lefrancois raised to 40,000 from under the gun before Stephen Chidwick announced he was all in from the small blind. Michael Addamo gave it some thought from the big blind before folding, but Lefrancois snap-called for 425,000.

Pascal Lefrancois: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Stephen Chidwick: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Chidwick picked up some outs to a straight on the {10-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Spades} flop and made a pair on the {q-Spades} turn, but the {7-Spades} on the river improved Lefrancois to a flush and gave him the double up.
