Five-Bet Wins Margets the Pot

Level 8 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Leo Margets opened to 1,700 in early position before Vincent Cavailles three-bet to 4,700 from the hijack. Action then folded to Ronan Sweeney on the button, who cold-four bet to 8,000.

Margets was undeterred and put in a fifth bet to 20,000. Cavailles snap-folded and Sweeney took less than a minute to fold.

Joao Vieria
Joao Vieria

With just under 50,000 in the pot on a completed board of {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, Joao Vieira moved all in from the big blind for his last 27,300 chips.

Artur Martirosian had him covered, but just barely with just under 30,000.

Juanda Spikes River to Double Through Lococo

Level 8 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
John Juanda
John Juanda

Luis Pinto raised in middle position before Alejandro Lococo flat-called from the cutoff. John Juanda three-bet jammed a stack of 15,100 from the small blind and Pinto folded, while Lococo made the call to put the 2015 EPT Barcelona Main Event champion at risk.

John Juanda: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Alejandro Lococo: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

It looked like Juanda would be going home as the flop of {8-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and {2-Spades} on the turn did not help him. However, the river brought the {a-Diamonds} to save the EPT champion.

The next hand, Antonius again opened to 2,000 and everyone folded to win him the pot without a fight.
