Farrell Fires an Overbet at Grafton

Level 7 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

With 4,500 in the middle on a turn of {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Hearts}, Dzhavad Abdolvand checked his small blind, Sam Grafton checked his big blind, and Niall Farrell checked in the cutoff.

The river paired the board with the {k-Clubs} and action was checked to Farrell who bet 6,000.

Abdolvand quickly folded but Grafton was suspicious. Ultimately he called and Farrell showed him {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for trip kings and Grafton tossed his cards to the muck.

Ramos Put to a Decision

Level 7 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

On a four-way flop of {4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, Sander Ostlyngen checked in the big blind to Felipe Ramos in early position, who bet 2,500 into the pot of about 6,000.

Jorryt Van Hoof called in in the hijack, Michael Brinkenhoff called in the cutoff, and Ostyngen called as well.

The turn brought the {k-Clubs} and action was now checked around to Brinkenhoff, who bet 6,000. Ostyngen folded quickly, but Ramos needed some time.

The Brazillian star had just over 20,000 chips left, so to continue would cost a significant portion or potentially all of his stack. After using a pair of time banks, Ramos folded.

Brinkenhoff called however, so there were still two players left to see a river, which was the {k-Hearts}.

Van Hoof now led for 6,000 and after a bit of thought, Brinkenhoff called.

Van Hoof showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for kings and tens, while Brinkenhoff showed {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for kings and fours, as his Dutch opponent took down the pot.

Antonius Left Short; Andersson Busts Ferreira

Level 7 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Patrik Antonius took a big hit in a heads-up pot against David Hu on a board of {5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Hu bet 15,200 on the river and Antonius entered a deep tank that cost him a few time banks. Antonius eventually made a relectant call.

Hu tabled {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a set of fives and Antonius silently mucked.

A few tables over, Sven Andersson opened the cutoff and Rui Neves Ferreira three-bet to 6,300 from the small blind. Andersson four-bet to 13,000 before Ferreira five-bet jammed. Andersson quickly called with a bigger stack.

Rui Neves Ferreira: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Sven Andersson: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Ferreira couldn't get ahead in the flip as the board ran out {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} to keep Andersson's queens ahead and to send Ferreira to the rail.

Talbot Reenters, Gets Short Changed on Time Banks, Wins Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

PokerStars Ambassador Parket Talbot has returned to the tournament after using his one allowed reentry.

On the first hand he played, he raised under the gun to 1,500 and then looked at the new time bank cards he was given.

"Hey, this one only says 20 seconds, what's that about?" joked Talbot as he indeed did have a time bank card labeled '20 seconds' (It will be honored as a 30-second time bank).

Sirzat Hissou called Talbot's raise in late position but on the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs}, he folded after Talbot continued for 1,400.

From "He Always Does It" to "He Has It"

Level 6 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Tom Orpaz
Tom Orpaz

After Adrian Mateos raised in early position to 1,100, Tom Orpaz called in the cutoff then glanced to his left at [Removed:554] reaching for chips.

"He always does it," commented Orpaz, seemingly expecting a three-bet from his opponent, but instead [Removed:555] just called.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Mateos continued for 1,100 more. He was called by both opponents.

On the {5-Spades} turn, Mateos checked, Orpaz quickly checked behind, and [Removed:555] now bet 2,200.

Mateos folded, but Orpaz came along.

The board paired again on the river {5-Clubs} and Orpaz checked. [Removed:555] bet 10,000 which Orpaz quickly called.

[Removed:555] showed {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a full house.

"He has it!" said Orpaz with surprise as the chips were pushed past him to [Removed:555].
