"A la la, Alejandro!"

Level 6 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Alejandro Lococo
Alejandro Lococo

The endlessly entertaining Alejandro Lococo was out of position in a heads-up pot against Mehdi Chaoui on a board reading {2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

The PokerStars ambassador bet 10,000 on the turn and Chaoui called. The river brought the {q-Hearts} and that is when the real action began. Lococo moved all in for around 50,000, a big overbet into the pot containing less, and the Morrocan and Argentinian engaged in a lengthy dialogue that weaved seamlessly between Spanish and English.

"Alejandro! Las calmas, Alejandro!" Chaoui moaned. "I don't think you've got queen-jack. I think you check with queen-jack."

"Against a fun guy, you have to call. Crazy guy who six-bet bluff," Lococo said in reference to a very memorable hand he played in the 2022 WSOP Main Event.

Lococo then lifted his foot up to the rail of the table as he showed off a painted big toe. "Look at this! I have my toe painted! You have to call."

This back-and-forth went on for several minutes as Chaoui ran through the majority of his time banks.

"I don't think I've got the balls to call," he said before folding. Lococo then tabled {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a jack-high bluff as Chaoui showed he had laid down top pair with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

"I learned from you!" Lococo told table mate and 2015 EPT Barcelona Main Event champion John Juanda.

"A la la, Alejandro!" Chaoui laughed after the hand.

Ponakovs Misclicks, Still Stacks Yosifov

Level 5 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Aleksejs Ponakovs
Aleksejs Ponakovs

Dimitar Yosifov opened to 900 in early position before Aleksejs Ponakovs three-bet to 3,500 from the small blind. Paul Newey flat-called in the big blind and Yosifov also called.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Ponakovs bet a massive 15,400 into the pot of just 10,600. Newey folded and Yosifov raised all in with a stack of around 30,000. Ponakovs, sporting a bright suede tracksuit, let out a sigh and asked for a count before making the call with a bigger stack.

Dimitar Yosifov: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}
Aleksejs Ponakovs: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

"Oh," Ponakovs reacted when he saw he was still ahead against his opponent's open-ended straight draw, which he held two of the outs to.

The board finished out {9-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Yosifov couldn't hit to be eliminated toward the end of Level 5. After the hand, Ponakovs told a table mate that he had meant to bet 3,400 on the flop, as the 1,000 chips are a similar color to the 5,000 chips. Luckily for the Latvian, the misclick worked in his favor.

Action was picked up with 20,000 in the pot on a turn board of {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

Faraz Jaka bet 5,000 from the big blind and Adrian Mateos called, sitting with less than half a starting stack.

On the {7-Diamonds} river, Jaka now checked to Mateos, who moved all in for 18,300. Jaka released his hand to send the pot to Mateos, who returns to almost a starting stack with the win.

Suhak Shows a Straight

Level 5 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Artem Suhak was in position in a heads-up pot against Brian Kamphorst on a board reading {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

The full river action wasn't clear, but Kamphorst had put out a bet of 26,000 with only 7,500 in the middle and Suhak raised all in for 66,400. Kamphorst gave it some thought and folded.

"Show a bluff for the blog!" someone at the table yelled.

Suhak did reveal his holding but it didn't seem to be a bluff as he had {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for a straight.

Guilbert Gaining Subscribers

Level 5 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Takao Shimizu opened to 1,000 in middle position and Johan Guilbert three-bet to 3,100 as the next player to act. Bahram Chobineh flat-called on the button and Shimizu also called.

Action checked to "YoH ViraL" on the flop of {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and he bet 3,300. Both opponents called. Action again checked to Guilbert on the {k-Clubs} turn and he fired a bet of 6,500. Chobineh folded and Shimizu called.

The river brought the {8-Spades} and Shimizu checked a third time. Guilbert took a moment and moved all in, prompting a fold from Shimizu as those at the table asked to see what Guilbert had.

"You can see my cards on the vlog," said the popular French content creator. "One more subscriber for me!"
