Guidetti Scores Big Double Through Martirosian

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With about 80,000 in the pot and a completed board of {k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, Artur Martirosian bet 62,000 from the hijack.

Daniele Guidetti then check-raised all in from the big blind for 147,000.

Martirosian used all but one of his time banks before finally calling to see Guidetti show {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for the rivered nut flush to survive and earn a big double on the bubble.

Sandev Eliminated by Wilson

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Andrew Wilson opened to 16,000 from middle position and the hijack called before the short-stacked Georgi Sandev used a time and called on the button, while the big blind also called to see a flop four ways.

The flop of {q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} checked through and Wilson bet 19,000 on the {5-Spades} turn. Sandev called all in with his final 4,000 and everyone else folded.

Georgi Sandev: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Andrew Wilson: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Sandev's eights were behind the tens of Wilson and nothing changed on the {3-Hearts} river for the Bulgarian to be eliminated just a few spots off the money.

Manzanares Eliminated by Lijo

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Lander Lijo raised to 16,000 in early position, Anton Wigg called in middle position, and Raul Manzanares then moved all in for 92,000 from the cutoff.

Action folded back to Lijo who called. Wigg folded and Manzanares was flipping for his tournament life.

Raul Manzanares: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Lander Lijo: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board came {k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, pairing Lijo's king to give him the win and eliminate Manzanares, leaving play three eliminations away from the bubble.

Brooks Survives All In, Kolonias Builds Up

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Earlier, Alexandros Kolonias left Patrick Brooks short when his rivered set of sixes won a large pot against Brooks' two pair.

In a recent pot, Brooks was all in with Kolonias having the chance to finish the job.

Kolonias opened to 18,000 in the hijack and was three-bet to 53,000 by Adria Colomina Guitart in the cutoff. Brooks then committed his last 20,000 chips from the small blind and Kolonias called the three-bet to build a side pot.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs} and after Kolonias checked, Guitart bet 31,000, which Kolonias called.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and both players checked.

On the {2-Clubs} river, Kolonias slid forward a stack of 100,000 and Guitart folded.

Kolonias took the side pot with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, but Brooks took the main pot to survive with {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Derwiche's Big Slick Outflopped by Labat's Eight-Five

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Antoine Labat open-shoved a stack of 200,000 from the button and Imad Derwiche called off in the small blind with a stack of about 150,000.

Imad Derwiche: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Antoine Labat: {8-Spades}{5-Spades}

Derwiche was ahead with ace-king, that is until the flop came {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} to send him out of his chair before the board then finished {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} to improve Labat to a boat and for the fellow Frenchman to be eliminated a few players away from the money.

"Ay yai yai," Derwiche moaned after taking the beat.
