Hammond Doubles Through Gois

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Mark Hammond open-jammed a stack of about 80,000 from late position and Pedro Gois called in the small blind with a bigger stack.

Mark Hammond: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Pedro Gois: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The flop came {6-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} to give Hammond a set and the {7-Spades} on the turn had his opponent drawing dead before the {3-Diamonds} river.

"You're all in trouble now!" the short stack said after doubling.

Just Quads for Navas to Double Through Meran

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Tauan Navas jammed approximately 130,000 preflop under the gun and was called by Matias Meran in the big blind.

Tauan Navas: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Matias Meran: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop brought a set for Navas to virtually lock up the hand, but the {9-Diamonds} then fell on the turn to truly cinch it with quads for the Brazilian.

Maue Runs Queens Into Kings to Go Out on Money Bubble

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Leonard Maue Artur Martirosian bubble
Leonard Maue Artur Martirosian bubble

In the hand that burst the money bubble, Leonard Maue opened before Artur Martirosian, who had been one of the most aggressive players on the bubble, put in a three-bet from the next seat. Maue responded with a four-bet jam with his stack of around 250,000 and Martirosian beat him into the pot with a call.

"Do you have a pair?" Maue asked as Martirosian nodded.

"You have ace-king?" Martirosian asked Maue, who shook his head.

Leonard Maue: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Artur Martirosian: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Maue was on the wrong end of the cooler and the flop of {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} didn't help him other than creating some chop possibilities. The {4-Spades} on the turn increased those possibilities but the {a-Clubs} on the river marked Maue's elimination on the stone money bubble.

It's been a great series for the German, who recently took down the €25,000 Single-Day High Roller for €653,160.

Lijo Crosses A Million on the Bubble

Lander Lijo
Lander Lijo

On a turn board of {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}, Kyriakos Papadopoulos check-called a bet of 16,000 in the big blind from Lander Lijo in the hijack.

On the river {q-Spades}, Papadopoulos checked again, and this time Lijo bombed it for 200,000.

Papadopoulos snap-called, but got bad news as Lijo showed {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for a turned full house, taking over half of Papadopoulos' chips in the pot, while crossing a million himself.

Fischer Survives Incredible All-In

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Manuel Fischer
Manuel Fischer

Manuel Fischer was on the verge of becoming the bubble player, as he was moved into the big blind with just 13,000 and was all-in after paying his ante.

He would have to fade four opponents who all limped to try to take him out. Action was checked through on a board of {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Tobias Schwecht showed {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for top pair, the rest of the table folded except for Ben Diebold who showed {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} in the small blind for a straight.

Fischer then first squeezed the {8-Spades}, which did nothing for him. He would have to find four pips on his other card to survive.

Sure enough, he peeled the {4-Spades} and lept into the air in celebration, surviving the all-in in the most incredible way to chop the hand.

Wakil Eliminated by Amsellem

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jacob Amsellem
Jacob Amsellem

Ameer Wakil raised to 134,000 under the gun, leaving himself a single T-1,000 chip behind and was called by Jacob Amsellem in the cutoff.

The players checked the {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop, then on the {a-Clubs} turn, Wakil flicked in his last chip, which Amsellem called.

Ameer Wakil: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Jacob Amsellem: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Wakil had flopped a set of queens, but needed the board to pair as Amsellem held the {10-Clubs} for a flush.

The river came the {4-Clubs}, giving Amsellem the pot and sending Wakil home just short of the money.
