Smires Folds to Jaka's River Shove

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Naoufel Smires opened to 1,300 under the gun and Faraz Jaka three-bet to 5,000 from the hijack. Action folded back to Smires who added the remainder.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and was checked through to the {6-Diamonds} turn. Smires threw in a bet of 5,600 that Jaka called.

The {j-Spades} filled up the river and Smires checked. Jaka moved all for about 62,000 and Smires with about 46,000 behind, thought for a long while, but proceeded to let it go.

Shmagun's Cowboys Tripped Up by Moio

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

On a {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop, Valentin Shmagun was in early position and ended up getting the rest of his chips in against Guiseppe Moio in the small blind.

Valentin Shmagun: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Guiseppe Moio: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Shmagun's kings were in rough shape against the flopped trips, and the {a-Hearts} and {10-Spades} completed the board to send him to the rail.

Kuo Adds to her Stack

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Sergio Coutinho opened to 1,300 from early position and Kitty Kuo called from the button. Christophe Panetti three-bet to 4,200 from the small blind and Coutinho folded but Kuo added the remainder to call.

On a flop of {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Panetti check-called a bet of 3,000 from Kuo.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and Panetti checked again. Kuo continued with another bet of 6,700 and Panetti peeked at his cards then gave it some thought, before chosing to give up his hand.

Jaka Hits River to Oust Mdanat

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka

On a {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} flop, Faraz Jaka had 1,500 over the betting line in the cutoff, and Yazan Mdanat raised to 5,300 in the hijack. Jaka then moved all in, and Mdanat quickly put in a chip to call for his remaining stack of roughly 20,000.

Yazan Mdanat: {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Faraz Jaka: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Mdanat was currently ahead, although Jaka was the equity favorite with his array of outs. The {2-Clubs} turn changed absolutely nothing, but the {k-Clubs} spiked the river to give Jaka Broadway and the pot.

"Good game, man," Jaka offered to his opponent.

"Good game, man," Mdanat replied. "Ahh, that was painful," he continued as he made his exit, while Jaka added to his growing stack.

Merijn van Rooij
Merijn van Rooij

Merijn Van Rooij opened with a raise to 1,000 from middle position and was called by Mercedes Osti in the hijack and Viktor Katzenberger in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and action checked through. The players checked again on the {4-Diamonds} turn, but on the {a-Spades} river, Katzenberger led for 3,000.

Van Rooij called for about a quarter of his remaining stack and Osti folded.

Katzenberger showed {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for trip aces and Van Rooij folded, shrinking his Dutch opponent's stack to just over 10,000.

Peffly's Kings Crack Sade's Aces

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Alex Peffly had gotten his short stack of 8,200 chips in from the big blind and was at risk against Sharon Sade on the button.

Alex Peffly: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Sharon Sade: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

It was a classic cooler, but the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop vaulted Peffly in front. The {10-Spades} turn left him just needing to fade a river ace, and the {7-Clubs} completed the board to confirm his double.

"I had 400 chips about an hour ago," Peffly mentioned as he collected the pot, glad to be alive with a stack.

Meanwhile, Laurence Stein at the table has been amassing chips and holds one of the bigger stacks in the room, with about four times the starting stack.
