Kosk Gives Kassouf Silent Treatment

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a completed board of {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, Ermos Kosk moved all in for 13,900 and that brought the action to his heads-up opponent, William Kassouf.

Kassouf, known for his theatrics, started talking.

"What you got man? I've got top pair," he asked but didn't get much more than a short answer and a shrug from Kosk.

He then spent a good while looking Kosk up and down, looking back at his hand, then back at Kosk, then the board, on repeat.

Eventually, he nodded his head and folded his hand.

"Come on, show one," he insisted, but no luck from Kosk.

"Yeah you've got it, hit two-pair on the river didn't you?" He continued, but still nothing from Kosk as he slid his cards in and raked in the pot.

Friberg Busts to Christensen

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Erik Friberg raised to 3,000 under the gun and Jonas Christensen called from the hijack. Mateusz Moolhuizen three-bet to 13,500 from the cutoff and action folded back to Friberg who four-bet shoved for 65,000. Christensen took a few seconds of reflection before reshoving but Moolhuizen let it go.

Erik Friberg: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Jonas Christensen: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Christensen raked in the pot, sending Friberg to the exit.

Motorov Doubles Through Teliani

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With 34,000 in the pot on a turn board of {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Nohad Teliani bet 12,000 from middle position and was met with an all-in jam from Dmitrii Motorov in the hijack for just under 27,000.

Teliani begrudgingly called, showing {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for second pair and a gutshot straight draw, while Motorov held {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} for the lead with an overpair.

Teliani couldn't improve on the {4-Spades} river, and Motorov doubled up to nearly 100,000.

Quenneville Building Another Stack

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Troy Quenneville had a large stack for part of day 1a, but busted late in the day. He's back today and building more towers which he hopes to carry into Day 2.

In a recent hand, Quenneville raised to 2,400 in the cutoff and was three-bet on the button to 8,000 by Romain Le Dantec. Quenneville came back with a four-bet to 23,700 and was met with a five-bet jam for 79,000. Quenneville called and was in great shape to bust Le Dantec and add a big chunk to his stack.

Romain Le Dantec: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Troy Quenneville: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, bringing no help to Le Dantec and sending him to the rail.
