Kovalski Takes From Mateus

Level 32 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Fabiano Kovalski raised to 450,000 from the cutoff with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Neville Mateus defended from the big blind with {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Mateus threw in a bet of 400,000 that Kovalski called.

The dealer burned and turned the {4-Clubs} and Mateus continued with another bet of 700,000. Kovalski went deep into the tank, using one of his time bank cards, then called.

The {a-Spades} filled up the board and this time, both players checked. Kovalski raked in the pot with aces and fours.

Jimmy Guerrero

Action folded around to Jimmy Guerrero in the small blind and he shoved all in for 2,900,000 with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Patrik Jaros in the big blind quickly called with {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

"Deuce, deuce, deuce," Jaros' rail began chanting as the flop came {3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Clubs}, keeping him in the lead. The {q-Clubs} came on the turn to give Guerrero the lead and he walked over to his rail to await the river.

As Jaros' supporters chanted for a deuce once again, the river came the {4-Clubs} and Guerrero doubled up.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and was checked around to the {10-Diamonds} river. This time, Mokri led out with a bet of 550,000 and Bendinelli went deep into the tank then tossed in chips signifying a call, raking in the pot with his set of jacks.

Guerrero Takes Last Hand on the River

Level 32 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

On the last hand before the break, Jimmy Guerrero limped in from the small blind with {j-Spades}{10-Spades}, then called when big blind Patrik Jaros raised to 600,000 with {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Spades} and Guerrero checked. Jaros bet 700,000 and Guerrero called with his flush draw and two overcards.

Both players checked the {3-Hearts} turn as the {10-Diamonds} fell on the river, improving Guerrero to a pair. He checked and Jaros quickly checked behind before flinging his cards away in frustration upon seeing he had been rivered.

Kayhan Mokri opened the pot with a raise to 500,000 from the hijack with {j-Spades}{4-Spades}. Jimmy Guerrero in the cutoff shoved all in for 7,400,000 with {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} as action folded to small blind Fabiano Kovalski, who looked down at {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} before calling for his last 6,530,000. Mokri got out of the way.

Both players ran over to their respective rails to await the board on the massive coin flip. The {6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop was safe for Guerrero, as was the {5-Clubs} turn which left Kovalski down to potentially his last card of the tournament.

The Brazilian spiked the {k-Hearts} on the river to double up to more than 14,000,000, leaving Guerrero with less than 1,000,000.

Michael Pinto: {j-Spades}{8-Spades}
Jimmy Guerrero: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Pinto was ahead with a pair of eights, but the turn came the {a-Spades} giving Guerrero the lead and the {10-Spades} river filled up the board for Guerrero to triple up with aces and tens.

In the big blind, Giuliano Bendinelli looked down at {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and reraised to 1,650,000. Mokri quickly folded, but Kovalski asked for a count and tanked for a moment before also sliding his cards into the muck.

Everyone Loves a Chopped Pot, Especially Guerrero

Level 33 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Jimmy Guerrero
Jimmy Guerrero

Jimmy Guerrero jammed his last 3,250,000 from under the gun with {a-Spades}{8-Spades} and Patrik Jaros called next to act with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

Guerrero found himself dominated and at risk as the flop came {2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. The {6-Clubs} on the turn opened the possibility of a chop, and Guerrero found a lucky {2-Diamonds} on the river to split the pot as Jaros ripped off his sunglasses and put his hands on his head in disbelief.
