Watson Scores Massive Double Up To Gain Chip Lead

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Michael Watson
Michael Watson

As most of the players had already left for dinner break, Mike Watson and Ben Heath were still involved in a big hand. The pot was roughly 600,000 on a board showing {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

Heath moved all in, covering the 650,000 stack of Watson. Without much thought, Watson flicked in a chip for his tournament life and Heath rolled over {10-Spades}{9-Hearts} for trips, but was no good when Watson revealed {q-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a better kicker. Watson scooped in the massive pot to put him over the two million mark and new chip leader.

Suvarna, Peters Survive Before Dinner

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Santhosh Suvarna shoved his last 53,000 in the middle and was called by both Mike Watson and Pedro Garagnani in the blinds.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Garagnani quickly folded after Watson bet. Watson showed {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} but was trailing the {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} of Suvarna.

The board ran out {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Suvarna tripled up.

At the same time at another table, David Peters was all in for 90,000 from the big blind against Erik Seidel on the button.

David Peters: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Erik Seidel: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The board came {9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Peters finished with two pair, aces and nines, to double up as players headed off on dinner.

Paque Finds Tens Again; Vogelsang Hits The Rail

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

A few hands earlier Kevin Paque busted Artur Martirosian with tens against threes and he was at it again when he raised to 40,000 from the hijack and Christoph Vogelsang moved all in from the button for 311,000, which Paque quickly called.

Christoph Vogelsang: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Kevin Paque: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The same scenario that just took place happened again. The board ran out {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and the tens for Paque held once more to send Vogelsang to the exit.

Seidel Emerges From Massive Three-Way Pot

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Erik Seidel bet 50,000 in the cutoff on a flop of {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts} and was called by both David Peters and Mikita Badziakouski in the blinds.

The turn came the {5-Hearts} and Peters and Badziakouski again checked to Seidel, who fired out 240,000. Both opponents called once more as the river came the {7-Spades}.

Action checked to Seidel and he went all in for 408,000. Peters used several time banks before calling, while Badziakouski folded.

Seidel turned over {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a set and Peters mucked to leave himself on a severe short stack, while Seidel is now contending for the tournament chip lead.

Paque Busts Martirosian

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Artur Martirosian was all in for around 275,000 from the small blind and up against big blind Kevin Paque.

Artur Martirosian: {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Kevin Paque: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}. "Close," Martirosian said.

The turn brought the {a-Spades}, giving Martirosian a straight draw. "Close," he repeated, but he wouldn't get any help on the {k-Hearts} river and hit the rail.
