Wet Board Stymies Cooler; Abitbol Crushing

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Raphael Abitbol
Raphael Abitbol

Action was three-way on a flop of {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. From the button, Raphael Abitbol bet 130,000 into a pot of 400,000. The big blind folded and Birger Larsen called from early position.

The turn further wet the board as the {4-Diamonds} came off to put four to a straight flush on board. Abitbol bet 200,000 and Larsen called again.

The river came the {9-Clubs}, both players checked.

Abitbol showed the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the one pip higher flush than the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} of Larsen and he collected the pot to add to his massive stack.

Karl Eliminates Nygren

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Fritz Nygren moved all in for 330,000 from early position. Action folded around to Nicola Karl in the small blind who reshoved all in. The big blind folded.

Fritz Nygren: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Nicola Karl: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Nygren was behind and at risk. The flop came {9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} which kept Karl ahead. Nygren's fate was sealed as he was drawing dead when the turn came the {j-Spades}. The river came the {4-Clubs} but was inconsequential as Nygren was eliminated.

Benabdelaziz held {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} and the board showed {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} with Kulev's hand already mucked.

Stokes Gets Paid With Flush

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

There was around 1,200,000 in the pot as the board read {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

Ivan Stokes was in the big blind and bet 715,000. Before the dealer could count the chips Yann Nasser threw in a chip to call from the button. However it was bad news for Nasser as Stokes turned over {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a flush which he couldn't beat.

Manole Runs Into Rockets

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Mihai Manole was seen getting up from the table as his {10-}{10-} had come up against the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} of Miltiadis Kyriakides.

The board offered a little help but no salvation as it ran out {9-}{5-}{q-}{j-}{5-} to not connect the straight draw and the Romanian player was sent away late in the night.

Berglin Picks Off Navas

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The board was completed to read {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} with a pot of 335,000 in the middle.

From the big blind, Rafael Navas made an overbet of 600,000. Dennis Berglin was in the cutoff and had to think for quite a while before calling.

Navas tabled the {j-Spades}{8-Clubs} for nothing, while Berglin showed the {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for ace-high which was good enough to take down the pot.
