Nevanlinna Gets Spot to Shove

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Justin Saliba raised to 40,000 from under the gun and earned calls from Marc Foggin on the button and Danut Chisu in the small blind. Jussi Nevanlinna then pushed from the big blind and Saliba asked for an exact count before folding.

Foggin also let go and Chisu mulled it over for a while before saying "no" and flashing the {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, which took Nevanlinna somewhat by surprise.

Ana Marquez

Ana Marquez raised to 40,000 from the hijack and Yannick Cardot made it 120,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Marquez shoved her stack into the middle, only to get a quick fold from Cardot to take the pot and move to 700,000.

A few hands later, Marquez got her 700,000 in against Cardot, who had her covered by a small amount.

Ana Marquez: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Yannick Cardot: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Cardot's aces held to eliminate Marquez from the tournament. Marquez wished the table luck and told Cardot she had pocket aces on their previous hand.

Garnero Eliminated by Grieco

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Charles - Henri Garnero
Charles - Henri Garnero

In the first hand coming back from the break, Charles-Henri Garnero open-shoved for around 13 blinds in the small blind and picked up an instant call by Nicola Grieco in the big blind.

Charles-Henri Garnero: {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Nicola Grieco: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

"Alright, I have to luckbox," Garnero said in French as the cards were turned over. Both had a piece of the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop but the {10-Clubs} turn reduced his outs significantly. It was all over after the {k-Spades} river and Garnero had to settle for 27th place.
