Ali Imsirovic had limped in from the button and Ben Heath responded with a shove for 161,000 from the small blind. Laszlo Bujtas considered it for a bit from the big blind and then shoved too for 187,000. Imsirovic tanked for a while, used two time bank cards and then called for the 181,000 he had behind.
Ben Heath:
Ali Imsirovic:
Laszlo Bujtas:
The board ran out for Bujtas to turn the higher two pair than his two opponents and to hold on the river to eliminate both Heath and Imsirovic to get the field down to the final two tables.
The seat draw of those two tables will be posted shortly.
Christoph Vogelsang raised to 20,000 in the hijack and was called by Ali Imsirovic and Ben Heath in the blinds. The flop came and the action checked to Vogelsang who continued for 25,000. Imsirovic folded but Heath called to see the on the turn.
Heath led out this time with a bet of 40,000 and Vogelsang called. The completed the board and Heath opted to check this time. Vogelsang pushed all in, putting Heath to the test for his remaining 161,000 chips. After using two of his time banks, Heath dumped his cards to the muck.
Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading , Steve O'Dwyer and Kent Staahle were left heads-up. O'Dwyer checked to Staahle who bet 75,000 and O'Dwyer ripped all in for a little over 200,000. Staahle decided to make the call to put O'Dwyer at risk.
O'Dwyer turned over for two pair on the turn while Staahle held for a pair of aces. However, the paired the bottom card and Staahle made a better two pair to eliminate O'Dwyer.
Sergi Reixach and Jake Schindler wasted little time getting all of their chips in the middle preflop with Reixach being the player at risk for 142,000.
Sergi Reixach:
Jake Schindler:
The flop came which took away one of Schindler's outs. That proved costly as the hit the turn and Schindler was drawing dead to the on the river.
It looked like Jean-Noel Thorel had raised to 20,000 from the cutoff and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 65,000 from the button. The blinds folded and Thorel made the call.
The flop came , Thorel opted to check but Mateos continued with a bet of 30,000. Thorel responded with a shove for around 170,000 for Mateos to snap-call.
Jean-Noel Thorel:
Adrian Mateos:
Thorel had flopped the Broadway draw while Mateos had hit top pair.
The turn was the for Thorel to hit a pair too but still be behind. The on the river didn't change things as Thorel was sent away from this tournament.
The action folded around to the blinds where all of the action took place. Adrian Mateos and Byron Kaverman got all of their chips in the middle with Kaverman at risk for around 150,000.
Byron Kaverman:
Adrian Mateos:
Not only did Mateos hold the higher of the two pocket pairs, but he also had both of the suits covered. The board ran out and Mateos eliminated Kaverman.
