With the board reading 5♠5♥7♦2♥5♣ and a sizable pot already brewing, Jordi Carominas checked and Marius Oprea bet 7,000. Carominas put in a check-raise to 20,000, putting Oprea briefly into the tank.

Ultimately Oprea decided to flick in a call only to see the bad news when Carominas showed down 6♣5♦ for quad fives to take down a chunky pot.

Oprea was left short-stacked and would be eliminated shortly after in a preflop confrontation.

Lococo slowed down, checking the 9♥ turn. In contrast, Nobrega continued the aggression, betting 13,500. Lococo, who was the stack at risk, quickly moved all in and the Brazilian snap-called.
