Vladimir Lipnitskii and Martins Sulte were heads-up on a completed board of 4♥3♥7♠9♦6♦ and around 20,000 in the pot when Sulte, in the hijack, moved all in for 17,000.
Lipnitskii tanked for around a minute before he called as Sulte showed J♥10♥ for a missed straight draw. Lipnitskii turned over A♥9♠ for a pair of nines and sent Sulte to the rail early on Day 1g.
Yucheng Liu opened to 900 from middle position, before Saymon Dias in the cutoff made it 3,200. Marius Lussi called from the small blind, and so too did Liu as it went three ways to the flop.
It came 2♥3♣3♥. Both Lussi and Liu checked, prompting Dias to make it 3,500. Lussi called, but Liu chose to raise to 10,000. Dias, the original raiser, then shoved all in. It didn't take long for Lussi and Liu to make the call for all of their remaining chips, with Dias having them both covered, and it was a three-way showdown with the turn and river to come.
Marius Lussi: A♠3♠
Yucheng Liu: A♥K♥
Saymon Dias: 10♦10♣
A stunned gasp was heard from the table, as the 10♥ turn completed Liu's flush draw, but in the process gave Dias a full house. Lussi was then drawing completely dead and Liu had to hit the last remaining three in the deck to survive.
It didn't come, as the 8♣ landed on the river, sending both Lussi and Liu to the rail in dramatic fashion and seeing Dias emerge as one of the chip leaders.
Marcos Exterkotter opened in the cutoff to 1,200, before Ilie Smintanca-Januszewski raised it to 3,200 from the big blind. Exterkotter called and it was heads up to the flop.
It came Q♦J♥9♦, and Exterkotter just called Smintanca-Januszewski bet of 3,500.
The action intensified on the 5♦ turn, with Smintanca-Januszewski leading out for 5,000. Exterkotter raised it to 12,000, before Smintanca-Januszewski made a shove that was quickly called.
Alon Mor, Manuel Barco, and Andrii Vakaliuk went to the flop on a board of Q♠5♣8♠ when Barco moved all in for 15,000 in the small blind. Mor called in middle position before Vakaliuk reshoved in the cutoff. Mor snap-called for his last 43,000.
Manuel Barco: Q♣J♣
Alon Mor: 8♥5♥
Andrii Vakaliuk: Q♦8♦
Vakaliuk was ahead of both opponents with his two pair, but the 5♠ fell on the turn to improve Mor to a full house as a collective gasp arose from the table.
The J♥ fell on the river and Barco was sent to the rail, while Mor earned a massive double up off Vakaliuk.
The player in middle position opened to 1,800, Cillian O'Donnell on the button moved all in for 3,500, Maxim Weingardt shoved all in for his remaining 8,000 from the small blind and Will Kassouf moved all in from the big blind for his last 30,000. The original raiser folded.
Cillian O'Donnell: A♦J♥
Maxim Weingardt: A♣J♠
Will Kassouf: 9♣9♦
Kassouf was in good shape until the flop landed Q♥A♠5♦. The turn and river came the 4♥ and 7♦ respectively and Kassouf had to pay off both his opponents.
The very next hand O'Donnell moved all in from the cutoff for his last 6,100. Kassouf called the bet in the small blind and the hand went to a showdown.
Cillian O'Donnell: 7♠7♥
Will Kassouf: A♥A♦
Kassouf preemptively called that a seven was coming on the flop, and he wasn't wrong; the dealer spread 7♣6♥10♦.
The 10♥ turned and Kassouf sarcastically announced "Go on! 7♦ on the river!". However, the dealer placed the A♠, and Kassouf sent O'Donnell to the rail.
Allan Dyrstad was already all in from the small blind with a short stack as Juan Castejon, Dmitrijs Kozlovskis, and Zoran Mitic went to a flop of 7♣6♣K♥.
Castejon then moved all in for 20,000 in the hijack, Kozlovskis got his last 25,000 in from the cutoff, and Mitic slammed in the chips to call on the button, putting all three opponents at risk.
Allan Dyrstad: Q♦4♠
Juan Castejon: 7♥6♥
Dmitrijs Kozlovskis: 7♠6♠
Zoran Mitic: A♠A♣
Mitic began pleading for a king as the dealer turned over the 8♠ turn, followed by the 3♠ river. Castejon and Kozlovskis split the pot with their two pair, while Dyrstad was sent to the rail.
Alessandro Pichierri opened to 2,500 from the cutoff and David Tubiana three-bet jammed a stack of 28,000 from the small blind. Pichierri called with a bigger stack.
David Tubiana: K♠J♥
Alessandro Pichierri: 7♣7♥
Tubiana couldn't pull ahead as the board ran out 10♣10♥5♦3♠7♠ to improve Pichierri to a full house and mark Tubiana's elimination.
The pot stood at 17,500 with three players looking at a board that read 10♦6♦7♥.
Azedine Bendjilali in the big blind checked the action to Ladislao Dalfo Batlle in the hijack. Batlle bet out 4,000, Marc Poustis in the cutoff called and Bendjilali, the covering stack, raised enough to both both his opponents all in.
The player in middle position opened to 2,500, Zihan Cong in the hijack called, as did the button. Emmanouil Asgoudakis in the big blind squeezed to 11,000. The original raiser folded, Cong moved all in for 27,500, the button folded and Asgoudakis called.
Zihan Cong: 9♠9♣
Emmanouil Asgoudakis: A♣Q♠
The board ran out 6♥K♦10♠Q♦6♠. Asgoudakis pulled ahead in this flip by the turn, remaining that way to the river. Cong was sent to the rail.
