Bonnet Shows Kings

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Alessandro Saracino opened to 17,000 from middle position and Kodor Issa called behind him before Mathieu Bonnet three-bet jammed a stack of around 230,000 from the button.

Saracino went deep in the tank and someone called the clock before he folded, leading Issa to fold 10x10x face-up. It was the right move as Bonnet showed KxKx before moving on to the next hand.

Four Doubles & One Suckout

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ewen Trevidy
Ewen Trevidy

There were lots of groans in the tournament area as five all in and calls resulted in four consecutive double-ups. On the fifth hand, Tudorel Costache found himself at risk after calling off in the big blind after a shove from Ewen Trevidy in the small blind.

Tudorel Costache: 1010
Ewen Trevidy: 83

There were some snickers as the floor announced Trevidy's holding, but the room got tense as the flop of 268 paired his eight and the 4 turn gave him a flush draw. The 9 on the river then gave him the flush and Costache was eliminated in brutal fashion one player off the money.

Say Helou to the Bubble Boy

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On the stone bubble, Daisuke Ogita found himself all in and at risk against the bigger-stacked Mark Helou on a board of 53J2.

Daisuke Ogita: QQ
Mark Helou: JJ

Ogita's overpair was in bad shape against the set of Helou and the 8 on the river confirmed his bubble elimination as a player at an adjacent table doubled up to survive to Day 2.

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Lukas "RobinPoker" Robinson

On the latest PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway and Connor Richards welcome Matt Hansen as a new co-host of the show. Matt has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes for PokerNews, and now we're putting a microphone in front of him to draw on his deep knowledge of the industry and get some of his hot takes.

That included his thoughts on the WSOP Paradise schedule, a poker player's yacht burning in the Mediterranean, and Ben Mintz returning to BarStool after Dave Portnoy bought back the company.

Chad then chats with this week's guest, Lukas "RobinPoker" Robinson, the new PokerNews Online Poker Ambassador. He talks about playing 1,000 hours of poker in 100 days, playing the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event alongside his father, and how listeners can have a chance at a $10,000 seat in December's World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship at Wynn thanks to a special promotion in conjunction with WPT Global.

Listen to those stories and more on the latest episode of the PokerNews Podcast!
