Brumaru Gets Away From One

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Pedro Lopes raised to 50,000 from the button and Felipe Morelli called from the small blind before Alexandru Brumaru came along from the big blind.

The flop was 624 and action checked to Lopes for another bet of 50,000. Both players called and the turn was J.

Morelli and Brumaru checked again before Lopes continued for 180,000. It was a quick fold for Felipe, but Brumaru went deep into the tank to consider calling for the rest of his chips.

After a few moments of thought and three time banks, Brumaru got away from it and Lopes took the pot.

Meanwhile, Adrian State and Vicent Bosca have busted on other tables.

Marcus' Ace-High No Good

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Van Marcus opened 60,000 in middle position and only Alan Ferraro came along on the button.

The dealer fanned a flop of K22 and Marcus continued for 55,000. Ferraro called.

Both players checked down on the 5 turn and 8 river where Marcus announced ace-queen. Ferraro quickly let him know it was no good as he rolled over 33.

Lahmani's Turn Lead Takes it

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Oshri Lahmani opened to 55,000 from middle position and was three-bet to 150,000 by Ramin Hajiyev in the hijack. Action folded back around to Lahmani, who called.

Lahmani check-called a 90,000 bet from Hajiyev on the 4QQ flop, but then led out for 120,000 on the 3 turn. Hajiyev went into the tank and eventually decided to let his hand go — conceding the pot to Lahmani.

Pichierri's Bluff Didn't Work

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Alessandro Pichierri
Alessandro Pichierri

Khazret Nebezhev opened from early position to 55,000 chips. He then saw Alessandro Pichierri three-bet to 150,000 from the hijack. The other players folded, and Nebezhev called.

The dealer revealed a flop of 326, where Pichierri made a continuation bet of 65,000 chips. However, Nebezhev chose not to call; instead, he opted for a check-raise to 165,000 chips. Pichierri waited a few seconds, then shoved for approximately 550,000 chips. Nebezhev quickly called.

Alessandro Pichierri: AK
Khazret Nebezhev: 88

Pichierri attempted to bluff, but it didn't work out. He still had a straight draw with the 4 on the turn. But the 7 on the river didn't complete it. Nebezhev celebrated with a "Si!" while Pichierri left the table.

Song Dusted as Slow Play Goes Wrong

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Stephen Song
Stephen Song

Alan Ferraro opened 50,000 in middle position and Stephen Song flatted the small blind before Wouter Beltz came along in the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of Q98 and all three players checked to the 9 turn. Song checked and Beltz bet 105.000. Ferraro called before Song put in the check-raise all-in for 300,000. Beltz moved all-in as well forcing Ferraro out of the pot and both hands were tossed on their backs.

"I have a boat," said Beltz as he whipped his cards over.

Stephen Song: AA
Wouter Beltz: 88

Song was unable to catch one of the remaining aces as the 3 rolled off on the river, eliminating him from the tournament.

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Robin Ylitalo
Robin Ylitalo

Robin Ylitalo raised to 40,000 in late position and Markku Koplimaa defended the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of 10102, and Koplimaa check-raised the bet of 25,000 to 80,000. Ylitalo called.

When the 3 hit the turn, Koplimaa fired another bet of 80,000 and Ylitalo called once again.

When the 7 completed the board on the river, both players tapped the table. Koplimaa showed 82 for tens and deuces but it was no good as Ylitalo tabled 66.
