Left with only a few chips after he lost a pot against Fournier, Mehdi Chaoui went amost all in from the cutoff, as he kept a single blue chip worth 5,000 in front of him. On the button, Ka Kwan Lau called, as well as another player in the blinds. But on the flop 6J6, Lau bet and made his opponent fold.

Both players checked on the K turn and then Aboudi bet a meager 40,000 on the J river. Melogno called and Aboudi tabled AJ for a rivered pair of jacks, which got a muck from Melogno to award Aboudi the pot.

After using a couple of time banks, he eventually made the call. Lahmani rolled over 85 for a full house and Montes mucked his hand.

On the secondary table, Samuel Fournier in the hijack opened to 40,000. He received a call by Mehdi Chaoui, who was in the big blind.

Chaoui checked on the flop 3108 and Fournier decided to check back to find the 6 on the turn, where he bet 40,000. Chaoui check-called and saw the 6 land on the river.

After Chaoui checked, Fournier bet an extra 45,000. Chaoui seemed to be in a tough spot, as he utilized a few time banks to make a decision. "Can I speak French?" he asked to get information from Fournier. "No," answered the dealer. A few seconds later, Chaoui folded.

The 2JJ flop left Ascone with a commanding lead in the hand, but the 4 turn vaulted Akkari into the lead with a full house, which left Ascone fuming. The 4 improved Akkari to unnecessary quads and Ascone was eliminated in brutal fashion.

Oliveira Calls For It All

Action was heads up with around 300,000 with a full board of K3424 when Gustavo Oliveira bet 225,000 and Carl Shaw shoved with more from the next seat over.

Oliveira went deep into the tank and used four time banks before he tossed out a chip to call. Shaw turned over 94, good enough to beat Oliveira's K7 and send him out of the tournament.

Meanwhile, a string of eliminations has left the tournament with 54 players.

Turn Check-Raise Earns Plante the Pot

Lucas Scafini raised 40,000 on the button and Santiago Plante defended the big blind.

Plante check-called a bet of 45,000 on the Q52 flop, and the A fell on the turn.

Plante checked once more before Scafini fired a bet of 105,000. After about 30 seconds, Plante check-raised 265,000, putting Scafini in the tank. After using a time back, Scafini eventually mucked his hand, sending the pot to Plante.
