Players are taking a 45-minute dinner break.
Action should resume around 8:55 p.m. local time.
Action folded to Simon Wiciak on the button who moved all in with Q♠9♠. Andre Akkari, with 4,700,000 remaining, tanked in the big blind before deciding to get rid of A♠5♥.
The next hand, Wiciak opened A♥5♠ from the cutoff to 400,000 and Ezequiel Waigel defended J♥9♣. The flop came 4♣A♣Q♣ and Waigel snap-folded to a continuation bet of 400,000.
Wiciak then raised for the third straight hand, making it 400,000 from the hijack with 10♠7♥ as Santiago Plante came along in the big blind with Q♠4♠.
The K♣7♣3♣ flop gave Wiciak a pair and he won the pot with a bet of 300,000.
Carl Shaw completed in the small blind with K♦3♥ and Curtis Knight checked his big blind option with 10♦8♣.
Shaw led out for 200,000 on the flop of 7♥K♣3♦ and Knight called. Shaw sized up to 550,000 on the 10♥ turn and Shaw called.
Shaw checked once more on the 7♠ river and Knight checked back as Shaw won the pot with his king.
Robin Ylitalo opened to 400,000 from middle position with K♠Q♣ and was called by Simon Wiciak on the button with 5♦4♦ and Andre Akkari in the big blind with J♠3♠.
Akkari checked to Ylitalo on the 7♦A♣2♦ flop and he bet 400,000. Wiciak called with his monster draw and Akkari folded.
The 3♥ gave Wiciak a wheel and Ylitalo barreled for 600,000. Wiciak just called.

Ylitalo went for it and shoved for his last 1,925,000 on the 5♣ river and Wiciak snap-called with his straight to send Ylitalo out in eighth place.
A hand after losing the big pot to Ezequiel Waigel, Mihai Niste shoved from the small blind for 3,800,000 and Carl Shaw called in the big blind.

Niste ran over to his rail to await the board, which came Q♥5♦8♥9♣9♠. He couldn't catch up against Shaw's two sixes and was sent to the rail on the final table bubble.
Ezequiel Waigel opened to 425,000 from the cutoff with 6♥6♦ and Mihai Niste defended the big blind with Q♥9♥.
Niste checked on the flop of 8♦J♠3♥ and Waigel continued for 300,000. Niste called. Waigel checked again on the 3♠ turn and Waigel checked back.
Niste led out for 725,000 on the 5♥ river and Waigel took some time before making the call and seeing that his sixes were good.
Andre Akkari opened to 400,000 first-to-act with K♠10♠ and was called by Simon Wiciak with A♥J♦ in the small blind and João Sydenstricker with 8♠8♥ in the big blind.
Action checked to Akkari on the A♦J♠9♣ flop and he bet 475,000. Only Wiciak called.
Both players checked on the 9♠ turn and then Wiciak shoved on the 4♠ river, which was enough to put Akkari all in for his last 1,775,000. Akkari quickly called with his flush and doubled up through Wiciak.
Curtis Knight raised to 400,000 from early position before Andre Akkari three-bet to 1,100,000 in the hijack. Santiago Plante, on the button, then four-bet to 2,375,000, leaving 375,000 behind.
Knight folded K♥Q♣, but Akkari moved all in and Plante called off his last chips.
Santiago Plante: Q♠Q♥
Andre Akkari: A♥J♠
Akkari's raucous Brazilian rail began calling for an ace, but they didn't get their wish on the 3♠9♠9♥ flop. The turn, though, brought the A♠ and Akkari made two pair to leave Plante one card away from elimination.
The river came the 2♠ and Plante spiked a flush to earn the double up and knock Akkari back down to a short stack.
